You'll both be absolutely fine! Just keep an eye on them, use fans and a damp muslin to dab on them if they need extra cooling, etc.
I know its easier said than done but just try avoid any media that talks about SIDs, esp during the heatwave! xx

Totally understand the anxiety but sounds like you have done the right thing just letting him be in a nappy only.
Best bet is now the heat is calming a little for the day then get the window open and if you have a fan then put the fan on windowsill. I dont know which works best but have heard that facing it outwards pulls the hot air out the room, facing inwards can draw the cooler air in 🤷♀️ i cant get my fan to the window so never tested either but know of people doing both.
As above a damp muslin can help, i kept one in the fridge in case he got extra sweaty when my son was younger, if he breastfeeds then hold it between the 2 of you during feeding to help keep him cooler.

It’s hard not to worry but you’ve done right by keeping them in just nappy. Our room is 28 tonight and it’s horrible. Keep a window open if you can and fan on and just keep checking on baby
