Today’s my mums birthday we kinda said it would be nice to go to one of the national trust properties near our home. It’s got a play area and loads places to sit with a picnic blanket. But it’s still very very hot. Do you think it’s silly to take my almost two year old out for the day??? Obviously we’d have lots of sun screen, water pack up lunch and the pram for naps. But I’m still wondering if I’m bonkers to do it.

Personally I wouldn't want to be outside with a little one today, I don't even want to be outside today! But if you want to and you take reasonable precautions and avoid the hottest part of the day then why not.

I wouldn't. It's a severe weather warning and little ones are particularly vulnerable to the heat

I wouldn’t take my little one out today unless I’m going to somewhere with air con just for how much they struggle to regulate their bodies

I was at the park yesterday with my little one, we sat under a tree and the breeze was the coolest thing ever, no AC could give you that. The bad part however was walking him home( I live very close to the park).

None of us our leaving the house today due to how hot it’s going to be you have so many more resources at home to keep little one cool or cool little one down than you do being out and about

I wouldn’t be taking my child out in this it’s too hot for them it would be selfish to do so

Not a chance. There's a national weather warning out for a reason.
Go next week

Yes, it think rearranging would be the best thing for eveyone. No one wants to be unwell in weather like this. Have an indoor picnic and maybe some time in the garden in a paddling pool of you have one. Sure your mum will be happy just to spend the day with you all x
