The fact people are so wound up about this…
I get it, taxes go to food stamps for people who lack on finances. But like…. I feel like it’s a bit much to say that parents shouldn’t be able to pay for soda and candy on snap… like last I knew people were able to buy Tobacco products on it??? It was about a year ago maybe but still!!! Like I didn’t see anything about that being talked about but the candy and soda is where people are drawing the line?? One of the comments on that said you can buy ice cream, they thought that was crazy!!! Like kids with tonsils taken out cant have ice cream?!?!? Ya’ll can be something else sometimes…
Kids want candy, might not be good for them but I’m sure that a lot of adults consume a lot of things that aren’t good for them too🤨 bsffr😭

Human beings aside from parents get snap benefits. Candy and soda shouldn’t be some special privilege.
Diabetics for example. Sometimes they need something that’ll bring their sugars up real quick, guess what the cheapest option is? Guess what might bring them joy to eat or drink while their bodies are failing them??
