Glucose Test

Glucose test was not my friend.. failed the one hour and projectile vomited all over myself an hour into the three hour test while getting my blood drawn.. 🥲 pretty sure some got on the nurse. So embarrassing. On the bright side, they have me checking my glucose 4 times a day for two weeks with a finger prick test. It’s honestly not bad at all. How was everyone else’s experience?

Awww so sorry that happened to you, also hope you’re feeling better! I failed my one hour by a few points and then passed the three hour by a few points. 🤞🏽Just curious but did you have to take any medicines? Or do you just have to monitor your glucose?

I did mine today with the fresh test 1hr . Nearly passed out and threw up 😅 had 3 medical assistants helping me not to pass out and putting fans on me . I better have passed bc there’s no way I can do a 3 hour one lol

i’m so sorry mamas i just went back for my second one hour test today because when i went monday i was 40 minutes into the hour and ended up getting super sick to the point i lost my vision and threw it all up so i was no longer able to draw blood. it felt so defeating. i was scared going into it today but i stayed in the room instead of the wait room and that helped so much! i was able to get my blood drawn and that was a huge relief. i’m still waiting on my results but praying i pass the first round because if i got that sick from the 50g test i don’t think i can handle a higher amount 😭

See?? This is exactly what I knew what was gonnna happen for me. My baby in me makes me so hungry and fasting and not eating that long plus an additional three hours and blood being taken away from me…I couldn’t even handle the 1 hour one. But yes same here girl I refused the 3 hour test cuz i knew that was gonna happen to me so they have me prick my finger after a meal everyday just to keep an eye on my glucose and since my glucose is being controlled I don’t need any medication. But they still have me keep an eye on it just in case

I have mine coming up on July 8th and although the doctor didn't tell me to fast she did say try not to eat a lot of carbs that morning. I'm nervous bc even though they've been successful in the past we all know each pregnancy is different.

Trying not to compare

Went out today to take advantage of air con, with a new friend and her baby. Can’t help but feel that my LO is so difficult and fussy in comparison to hers and that I felt on edge trying to keep my baby quiet and settled whilst we were out. My two month old baby is a few weeks younger so maybe that makes a difference. Trying my best not to compare but can’t help but feel I’m doing something wrong…

Confused and sad

I’m 37 + 5 today and just came back from an ultrasound appointment at a different location for my obgyn and was told that my baby is only 5 pounds and 8 ounces and if they have talked to me at all about my babies weight and they have not. I’ve always asked every ultrasound appointment if everything looks good and if he looks healthy and on track and have always been told everything looks great and now I’m being told his weight is very low. I’m just so confused and sad and don’t know what’s going on anymore at this point. I’m never told anything every appointment and when I ask I’m always told everything is perfectly fine. This is my first pregnancy and I’ve been active and drink lots of water and i don’t smoke or drink or have before I got pregnant and take my vitamins but I will admit I’ve eaten a lot of fast food. Has anyone experienced the same?

Weight gain during first trimester

Iam 18weeks pregnant and gained like around 15 pounds so far . Is it very uncommon? Because my OB told me to watch my weight to avoid complications. How much weight have you gained since your pregnancy

Pls Help

The thought of leaving my baby for 1–2 hours to get my hair done is honestly killing me. 😭 She's exclusively breastfed, so I'll make sure to pump and leave enough milk for her, and she'll be staying at my parent’s house.

It's nothing against my parents at all, I trust them. It's just the thought of leaving my baby that's making me feel so anxious. I'm worried she'll want me and I won't be there for her🥺

She's only 3 months old, and we've been together every single day since she was born. Mamas, how did you manage the first time you left your baby? Does it get easier? Is this separation anxiety, or is it just normal for a first time mum?

I'd really appreciate any advice or reassurance. 🤍
