Just moved to NKY! Anyone want to be friends?

My husband baby girl and I just moved to NKY two weeks ago, and I’m getting settled in. I’m 28 yo with a 2.5yr old! I’m looking for someone in a similar walk of life that would love to join me in doing things with my baby girl🤍 let’s be friends !!

I don’t want to look after my kids anymore…

They’re 2.5 and 3.5 and I’m just done with the running around, playing with them / entertaining them constantly as soon as they wake up to when they sleep.

I feel like I’m just bored of them now. Does anyone else feel the same?

Contraception linked to major illnesses

I have just read an article that says there is strong indication that depo injection can cause brain tumours.

It's also believed pill can affect bone density and there are possible links to cancer.

I took the pill for about ten years, maybe a bit less. I stopped in the end as I wasn't seeing my partner a lot due to work etc so I felt like it wasn't worth taking. I haven't been on any contraception now since about 2020 but these stats are making me feel worried. Ten years is a long time and many women will have had the injection or taken the pill for 20+ years!

There are of course risks with any medications but this just feels unfair that millions of women will have been taking these without being fully aware of the risks.

Not happy with babies nursery

So my baby officially starts nursery on 1st July and is currently doing settling in sessions which is fine. My annoyance comes with the funded hours and awful communications from their office.

So I did all the right things and returned to work on 31st April and stretch my annual leave so that I could get my code ready for the summer term. I then saw on here that you need to check you can still use said code if you do not start at the beginning of the term as some local authorities are awkward. After months of leaving phone messages and emails I never got an answer so asked in person at my babies first settling in session last week.

I was reassured that my code was fine and could be used. Fast forward to this morning and I get my first invoice and lo and behold they have not included any funded hours and want to charge me £800.

This is devastating for us financially and will logically mean I’ll have to pay this for both July and August. (Obvs I will use the tax free childcare account but that still means paying over £600)

I am so annoyed. I asked this question so many times. I may as well have stayed off work the extra month if I had known then would have only had to pay it for August. I’ve maxed out my annual leave so can’t stay off now and will likely have to eat the cost.

I will of course ring them as soon as they open I’m just so annoyed by the lack of communication on this it’s making me not want to send my boy there.

I know no one can help here just needed a rant

Mil buying Father’s Day present

So my mil brought my husband Father’s Day gifts from the kids.

I did find it strange and had a moment to myself thinking why? It’s not really your place. I mean don’t get me wrong it was a personalised top and mug so it was only small.
What are your thoughts? Am I over thinking.
