Two week old

Recently my two week old has been fighting sleep. It’s a struggle to get him to stay asleep after he’s fallen asleep in my arms or at the breast. Anyone else struggle with this? I’m tired and desperate.

Hello Brianna , I am seren an 18 year old mom to an 8 month old .! My daughter stayed consistent to her sleep schedule since she was a newborn. It took a lot of work, but I feel like I can help you get your baby on his sleep schedule.

Aww I remember those days. Mine would do the same. A few things I did was make sure the baby was completely full, my son would fall asleep a lot and not be done and as soon as I moved him he suddenly remembered he was more hungry then sleepy now. sometimes feeding from both boobs and waking them up to make sure their fully fed can help. If that didn’t work I would remove baby in steps lols unlatch boob, rock and shshsh back to sleep, reposition, rock and shshsh back to sleep, lay down, pat back and ssshhh back to sleep lol

Most people probably wouldn’t agree but this worked for us. When my LO was a few weeks old and wouldn’t fall asleep, I started with his first hour or so asleep in the lounger, his next waking I laid back on the couch, not all the way down but not straight up. Propped pillows around me, and let him sleep on my chest for a few hrs at a time (fortunately I wake up to his movements and sounds). Every few days he’d sleep longer and longer in his lounger. Another wild moment people don’t like is we learned he LOVED to sleep on his belly. This was a game changer as he got older. I used to keep a close eye but he always turned his head to the side and slept like a gem. He recently learned to roll onto his back and this is our new sleeping struggle😅

Air con temperature on holiday

We are going on holiday tomorrow, what temperature should I keep inside our room for baby to sleep comfortably for naps and nighttime ? I mean, we rode out this hell of a week with the heat so I’m sure even 25 degree she will appreciate🤣 last night there were 33 degrees in her room !

Green in spit up

Hi, my baby has spit up this morning and I noticed it has some green in it. Google said it could be bile or mucus, but I’m just wondering if anyone has had this before? Trying to figure out whether I need to be super concerned or not, as she seems perfectly fine otherwise.

Baby carriers

Anyone got a favourite baby carrier apart from the ergobaby?

We had the baby bjorn mini but need something sturdier. I borrowed the ergobaby breeze and she doesn’t love it but not sure if it’s just that she hates not being able to see around or she doesn’t like the carrier

Partner

Hi my partner has postpartum depression. I have been fine this time around & he’s developed it quite bad . To the point his mental health is rubbing on mine daily now . He’s been told by me , go doctors get help etc. I will even sit in the appointment with him , we’ve even spoke to HV & she reckons his mental health is low so she’s recommended several things to help . How do I cope with it myself? Because I’m finding myself struggling with his mood swings on a daily basis to the point I do not even wanna be in the same household anymore . I get mental health issues, when I met him mine were severe & I got the help I needed . Now I find myself going backwards due to this . Any advice?

Laid back moms ?

Anyone else pretty laid back on what you allow your kids to do?
Like my daughter is very active and loves to get into things and make messes and climb and all that! And I simply just cannot stop her from doing everything all day. If she makes a mess I let her. I’ll just have to clean it up later. Using something the wrong way but having fun? Whatever. Climbing on my back? Sure. I’m apart of a small mom group near by and they were criticizing a mom cause she let her daughter stand on a chair.. and I find the moms I hang out with are constantly stoping their kids from stuff I don’t see a big deal in. Constantly worried about germs and falling. Obviously everything has limits and I’m not saying I let her run wild I definitely stop her and correct her but if it’s safe and she’s happy and not hurting anyone. Idc.
