Recovery

When I found out I was pregnant I quit all drugs and alcohol smoking everything but now it’s like all I want to do but I know I can’t because the baby’s more important. I’ve only just turned 20 and I’m 26 weeks pregnant.

First things first: I’m so proud of you for making the decision to change and know that it is hard. Have you talked to your medical team about how you’re feeling? They may be able to offer resources to you to help manage the cravings.

Owlet sock critical alarm

Daughter was in bed with me last night as she is teething. Her owlet sock sounded the critical alarm at 3:30 in the morning. I panicked and grabbed my daughter but she was completely fine and started giggling. When I checked the app this morning it showed that I had an alert but when I looked at her stats for 3:30 in the morning it doesn’t even show a drop in oxygen. Has anyone ever got false critical alarms? Should I go to the GP to have her checked?

Breastfeeding issues & guilt

My baby was born on 21st June after a lengthy induction & a horribly traumatic time at the hospital. I was in a really bad place physically & mentally & feel like the first week completely passed by in a blur. I only just feel like we are starting to bond. I was hoping to exclusively breastfeed but it's just not happening. We have seen a lactation consultant which was helpful & we will be booking a follow up.

Night feeds

Hi, wondering if anyone can give me some ideas on how to get my 15m old off from drinking milk at night, this is going to sound crazy but she’s waking up every 3 hours for milk (formula)

She’s on 3 meals a day and snacks too inbetween, so I don’t believe it’s hunger I think it’s sort of turned into a comfort thing but I really don’t know what to do anymore as I’ve tried to settle her without milk when she would wake up crying or whinging in her sleep but then she will get to a point where she will cry so much that she wakes herself up completely then I end up having a long night with her.
I didn’t have this issue with my eldest who’s 6 now hence I don’t really know what to do.

Am I being too anxious?

For context I live with my parents.
My father just run a bath (downstairs bathroom) and has left it to go have a lie down instead. He does this often and will top it up with hot water when he decides he wants to go in.
He turns the boiler up very high to run the bath and I can’t touch the water myself without it burning my hand.
Bathtub is full as high as it can go and piping hot. I have a 3 year old autistic child who loves water and will go jump into it at any opportunity.
Am I crazy for at least wanting a door to be shut separating the living area from the bathroom? Of course I watch my child all the time but they like to go in the kitchen to see my mother and could easily pass straight through and into the bathroom without anyone realising
