Mother in law

My mother in law is due to stay with us from tomorrow for a week or so.
There's an event that I've been excited about for a month now that we can do as a family (mum, dad and baby)
I don't particularly want my mother in law to come with us because I just want it to be a family thing we do as we don't do too much as a family of three.
Am I wrong to be thinking like that or asking my husband?

How often do you do things with the 4 of you?

Well not a crazy amount but I've been talking to my husband about this for a while and she wasn't meant to come until sat/sun anyway

I don't know what she's like but I think generally the more the merrier! Unless she's awful hopefully she should just add to your day, it will be special for her as well, and you'll have someone to take pics of the 3 of you. I personally wouldn't even float the idea, I understand it's hard to get family time sometimes but she's family too and coming to stay. Without further context I think it would be unkind to leave her at home and hard to explain.

Why do I feel like a single mum when I’m not

Since my baby was born I’ve been pulling all the work, I don’t mind to do a bit extra but my husband works from home which means he can help more. When we met we talked about that he will be an involved father but I feel like I always do everything, every feed, every nap and every bed time my baby is nearly 9 months. Also he always moans how tired he is and yesterday I pulled a 15 hour shift looking after our daughter and he didn’t do anything I’m exhausted mentally, physically and under appreciated .

I don’t know how long I can go on.

16 week old doesnt want to grab toys

What toys do you place in front of baby during tummy time to encourage them to grab? Mine is only interested in faces and no interest in grabbing toys. Just babbles away and rolls back over lol

Feeling like a terrible mother

After my son’s swim lesson I got him Burger King. While waiting in the drive-thru he told me he spilled his yogurt. I just closed my eyes and told him to put the cap back on and wait for me to get his food. I pulled to the parking lot and opened and I scanned everything he spilled and just said to him we’re going home and I’ll clean you there and I shut the door a little hard. On our way home I started realizing how bad I reacted, and was looking at him through the rear view mirror and his sad face. I park in the house and opened his door again and told him everything was okay I was gonna clean it and gave him a kiss in his forehead. Idk why I reached like that, I wasn’t even mad at him nor the spilled yogurt because I wiped it quick. Just thinking about his sad little face makes me cry😢.

Anyone doing any freezer meals or have any idea of what I can make. My husband is a truck driver and I have a 1 year old as well so I’m gonna be doing all this technology by myself and I just wanna be prepared cuz it’s gonna be hard for sure.

Salad

I made a horrible salad
My partner knew I had a teething baby I was sleep deprived I asked how it was
He said it sucks it wasn’t a salad for him inedible gross not good
To me I can take the feedback - but knowing your woman is at least trying - couldn’t he have let me down gently like thank you for putting in the time? But wasn’t my taste profile - and leave it alone. What is everyone else’s thoughts. I then got upset and he said I should go find somebody else. In this relationship I can never be angry with him he’s never in the wrong - is how he acts. Never says sorry.
