Cows milk

Hi guys,
Im a FTM. My daughter is a year old.
My supply has dropped dramatically after being away from baby for a 2 days. She seems to be really struggling to drink cows milk. Will take a sip and then refuse.

We are very used to feeding to sleep. So this has been a struggle. Cos yes she can still do that but there isnt enough milk to fill her up.

Ive been giving milk in nuk trainer cup and sometimes in dr brown bottle. Nothing seems to work.

I dont know what to do. Cos im also due to start work in under 2 weeks and I dont want putting her to sleep to be a task and a half.

Any tips or personal experiences?

I use a proper babies teet bottle even tho she never had one w formula or anything, and warm the milk in the microwave! She hates it cold!! Try warming and try a few different drinking vessels! Or maybe go for semi skimmed/ whole milk/ oat? Lacto free? They do kinda taste diff!! Good luck x

You could try slowly mixing whatever milk you have with whole milk? Maybe that could help. And I gave my daughter in normal baby bottle and warmed in the microwave for a little.

Mine won’t drink cows milk and my supply has also dropped. I just offer him water after a feed and that works. When it’s really hot or he seems to be needing more during the day, I offer Greek yoghurt and that works too. My son is 14 months old

Got these for my little one

I brought these for my one year old to get her off the bottles she was on

I did a lot of research on them, and a few people recommended them for her age

Just wanted to see what mums thought on here about them before I start using them

Burning candles?

I know we shouldn’t because it’s not good for adults but especially babies but I miss burning a candle in the evening and we have a rented house that smells musty no matter how much we deep clean everything and air out the house for hours everyday. Does anyone burn a soy candle downstairs in the evening with windows being open whilst baby is upstairs asleep or do you think it’s too much of a risk? Any advice /opinions would be greatly appreciated (my baby is 9 months btw)

Agitated when breastfeeding

My 5 week old son is breastfed and expressed milk fed via bottle and normal is content on the breast but today out of nowhere he is really agitated and screams as if he isn’t getting any milk but I use a nipple shield and can see the milk is there. Any advice? I don’t want to have to give up breastfeeding 😢

Antibiotic effect on breastmilk

I have been taking amoxicillin for a week now and my EBF baby has seemed to be coincidentally having GI issues? Larger spit ups, visibly and audibly uncomfortable, straining to poop/pas gas, lots of mucous in stool etc etc. he’s happy but also very uncomfortable. Anyone else have this issue?? Yesterday was my last day so I’m hoping he feels better soon. I feel so bad 😢
