Baby carriers

Is anyone currently using baby carriers or planning to? What brand are you using and is it good? I’m looking to buy one but don’t want to spend too much on it as I’ll only be using it for supermarket trips or certain days out where it’ll be easier to have them on me for a little while. I’ve also a sensitive back so don’t want to carry for long

Using my sisters Babybjorn mini - good size for newborns and very easy to use. I have the tula explore for when baby is bigger. Check out vinted or children's charity shops, our local one always has a few x

I use the baby Bjorn mini too and I also have a wrap but it's too hot for that right now

Everyone prefer deferent the best for babies is stretchy wrap im also having ergobaby embrace and boba i love them all. Also is good ring sling. Maybe you have around you baby carrier library they will teach you all and recommend it the best. Then buy ypurs on vinted sometimes they sell too...

I have babybjorn mini as well, had it with my daughter and loved it also bought momcozy as have twins

I’ve been using the Ergo Baby Embrace and love it! I also recommend getting whichever one you choose on Vinted, the one I got looked brand new but was less than half the price I would’ve paid xx

How would you react - a bit annoyed at my partner

How would you react - a bit annoyed at my partner

Our LO is just over 2 years old.

Sadly I wasn’t in the room and my partner was in the room and he didn’t see what happened. I’m so annoyed at that. It’s bad enough our toddler fell off the sofa but I’m so annoyed he wasn’t watching to see what happened 😣

Apparently the Toddler was on the sofa and fell off 😔

I heard the impact of the fall from the bedroom and a cry straight after from what I could tell

Toddler was acting normal then and now but when discovered toddler was face up on the floor crying But clutching cheek from inside mouth. At first I thought toddler may have had a self inflicted bite.

So all in all toddler seems fine. Although the whole situation is still giving me anxiety.

I mean, one thing that's really, annoying me is the fact that my partner was like so relaxed and was like oh it will be fine, there will be more knocks and worse. But it just pissed me off because I was thinking how does this not worry you?

I just feel like I was so much more worried about this than my partner was/is.

My partner is just so laid back about it. It's just me doing the research, checking, worrying, and wondering if toddler is okay. Partner was just watching football.

Like am I unreasonable?

What is more torturous at night?

1) Waking up 1-2 times a night but each time it takes hours to get them back down

2) Wakes up every hour but they easily fall back asleep (with your help)

Agitated when breastfeeding

My 5 week old son is breastfed and expressed milk fed via bottle and normal is content on the breast but today out of nowhere he is really agitated and screams as if he isn’t getting any milk but I use a nipple shield and can see the milk is there. Any advice? I don’t want to have to give up breastfeeding 😢

Cows milk

Hi guys,
Im a FTM. My daughter is a year old.
My supply has dropped dramatically after being away from baby for a 2 days. She seems to be really struggling to drink cows milk. Will take a sip and then refuse.

We are very used to feeding to sleep. So this has been a struggle. Cos yes she can still do that but there isnt enough milk to fill her up.

Ive been giving milk in nuk trainer cup and sometimes in dr brown bottle. Nothing seems to work.

I dont know what to do. Cos im also due to start work in under 2 weeks and I dont want putting her to sleep to be a task and a half.

Any tips or personal experiences?

Health visitor

My health visitor told me I look tired, I often don’t get to sleep until 1am (newborn & toddler) then wake 3ish,6ish and I’m officially up all day with my toddler from 7am sometimes earlier. So obviously I am very tired. However when I explained he went “should’ve said I would’ve came over to give you a few hours sleep” was he taking the piss out of me? 🤣🙈

Does language matter?

So, I notice 🥜 mums saying things like, "Breastfeeding is great" and "Two under two is easy."

This can be quite dismissive of others' experiences because it suggests that it’s a universal truth and disregards those who have a harder time.

It feels more tactile to say, "I found breastfeeding great..." or "I found two under two easy..." while knowing that’s not everyone’s experience.

Do you think this nuance of language matters, or is it just pedantry?
