First trimester fatigue

Currently in the trenches of first semester fatigue.

I have no energy for anything and going to bed at like 8pm…

Just wondering when I’ll look forward again to having sex with my husband?!?! When does the tiredness fade girlies.

TIA X

Hunny don’t give up! You will be better I promise! First trimester fatigue is unreal but by 4th month or middle of the 4th month you’ll see a huge surge. At this moment take advantage and lean into the fatigue.. rest as much as possible because your body is working really hard even if you can’t see or feel baby yet ❤️❤️

The sex with hubby - I was on a similar place and just no energy. It’ll come back - or maybe switch the routine to morning /daytime if that’s better for you.

Don’t know where you’re based but get yourself a badge too if using public transport as it’s not easy travelling. I’m in london so use the underground.

What are the least helpful things you’ve been told in pregnancy?

I can start
1) “you still have 2 months to go? But you’re massive already!”
2) “baby due September? Better push them earlier so you avoid extra year of childcare cost”
3) (to my partner upon announcing the news): “you better work more and harder get a promotion now”.

I can go on forever, thought the “you sure it’s not twins” comments were an urban legend but people are THAT stupid

Baby soft spot

How are your babies soft spots? I feel my LO’s is sometimes quite obvious and feels a bit sunken so it makes me a bit worried because it’s a sign of dehydration. He’s 11 weeks. You can’t always ‘see’ it, but can definitely feel it. He’s got plenty of wet nappies. How obvious is your babies?

Struggling FTM

Spent yesterday crying feeling like I’ve lost myself. Exhausted and feel like I’m not doing the best I can, questioning whether I’m a good mum, have managed to break the zip on my next to me in the night shuffling back in bed put my hand on it and it wasn’t fully down and it’s now bust so another thing I’ve messed up. Spent the last 3 and a half hours googling trying to fix it, have ordered replacement fabric from the Snuz website but I still can’t settle my brain and I’m going to have had no sleep now to do it all again. Feeling so lost, useless and like I’m completely crumbling

Chicken pox - 22 weeks pregnant

Just after some advice please! I’ve been around my younger brother quite a bit the past few days, and he’s just come out in chickenpox despite having them before! My mum reckons I had them when I was younger, am I best still contacting my midwife or GP to let them know?

Thanks in advance!

30 weeks today!! Final count down 💪🏼

FTM, Going to start packing my hospital bags as of today, any tips on essentials that aren’t really spoken about? I’ve heard a few ladies buying some hospital gowns to take to hospital (easier cleaning etc after birth) how true is this though? Because I was only planning on taking a few dark pyjamas shorts sets! also is it worth taking breast pumps?? I’m planning on breastfeeding but also have formula just in case but heard breast pumps can make it easier for your milk to come through if struggling with latch/production. Ps I’ll be staying in hospital for a minimum of 2 days due to positive GBS swap. Any tips would be so helpful thank you 🙏🏼
