He's 18 months old.
I've everything I can to cool the room down but it's been 35 degrees outside today and the heat hasn't let up for weeks. I ran the AC in his room for 6 hours today (removed before bed as I don't think it's ideal to run in his room overnight - it's really noisy and dries the air out) and managed to get it down to 24 degrees. Also kept all electronics off, blackout blinds and curtains closed, and even tried the tin foil on the outside of the window trick, the whole nine. Obviously, as the building is so hot, the temperature in his room shot up in the hours since I removed the AC, although I kept the door and window shut.
LO has a really strong sleep association with his sleeping bag and doesn't sleep so well without it so I bought a 0.2 tog sleeping bag as I didn't think the 0.5 tog was cool enough for this weather. I have a fan running in his room, gave him a cool (not cold though) bath and got him to drink plenty of water and milk before bed.
I can't help but worry with all these warnings about little ones overheating. He's sound asleep. Google is telling me I have to take the sleeping bag off.

Learn more about our guidelines. To add: he's been sleeping in a 0.5 tog the last few nights. The temp in his room has been 27-28 and he's a bit warm in the morning but not sweaty or hot to touch. I thought this was a better middle ground as today is particularly hot.

Our daughters room is 30
She’s in 0.5 and a nappy.
We’ve got a fan oscillating for a bit of breeze. She’s been totally fine throughout the whole heatwave.
She’s the same with the sleep sack & bedtime x

Honestly I would I think everything will be ok. My son is 16 month old and his room is showing at 29 degrees currently. He has a fan going but just circulating warm air. He is just wearing a nappy as he’s not fussed on his togs anymore as he likes to kick his legs about 🤣 the tog your son is in sounds fine. I do advise though to open the window before he goes to bed as the temp does drop slightly overnight and the cooler air will let itself in, at the beginning of the night, you may notice on your monitor the temperature rising but as you get past midnight onwards it will start dropping. But for now if you are concerned, just keep popping in to check on him. I’m sure if he is too warm he will let you know xx
