With interventions I mean forceps/ventouse, episiotomy etc
My SIL is debating between induction and a planned c section if she goes over her due date. She is high risk so her doctors aren’t letting her wait for spontaneous labour after a certain time.
I have not heard of anyone having a positive no intervention vaginal birth after an induction and everyone I know ended up with c sections or a traumatic vaginal delivery with forceps and episiotomy.
Did anyone have a positive induction with no interventions? Might be nice for her to hear some positive experiences but also be realistic about her expectations.

First time was
Vaginal with an episiotomy
Second was an emergency c-section
My first birth was great I’m really glad I went with the induction rather than the planned C-section , and even with my second although it ended in an emergency C-section, I’m glad I gave a shot and wasn’t felt with a negative feeling around the whole experience if I was to have the choice again next time I’d choose the same again

I had an episiotomy with mine but I also tore. Recovery was still very easy and I was walking like an hour after birth. I enjoyed my induction my team were really good

First was an induction with absolutely none of that no forceps episiotomy nothing it was just a regular birth just had to get induced cuz my blood pressure was being crazy. I’m getting induced again on Friday for the same reasons and it’s going to be just like the first hopefully no epidural just labor in the bath and get out when I’m ready to push like last time

I have had a spontaneous delivery and a vaginal delivery following induction.
My induction was very positive and I had no interventions, no epidural & I birthed my baby with no tears. However I felt I was one of the lucky ones in this respect.
For realistic expectations though, contractions are so much worse on the hormone drip, and knowing this now, I personally wouldn't opt for induction again. I was induced as an overdue high risk pregnancy HOWEVER I felt pressured into induction when additional monitoring would have absolutely sufficed

I had a vaginal delivery after induction with no intervention for my first. It was 28 hrs start to finish.
I did need stitches because I tore naturally but that's pretty common for first time vaginal deliveries.
Getting a second induction on the 14th. Hoping it goes the same
Before my first induction I had only heard those kinds of stories too. So I looked up the statitics and actually most inductions are done with no additional intervention beyond pain management (at least in the US, I didn't look at other countries).
Thanks for sharing ladies, will pass it on! I had two spontaneous unmedicated vaginal births so can’t offer her much advice as haven’t experienced it! I thought contractions were horrendous so when people say they’re even worse when induced I can’t even imagine 🙈. I have told her to be open about an epidural for this reason!

Hey I had a very positive induction - best thing I did .
1st baby
No tears , rips or anything
No intervention
Happy and healthy baby
Home 12 hrs after delivery.
2nd baby
No tears
No rips
No intervention
Home 6hrs after delivery.
Would do it again , and in both I was 2days early for 1st baby and 12 days early for 2nd.
Would definitely have an induction again.

My cousin is a midwife and said that most people who are induced have an epidural and was surprised that I didn't
There was no one available to administer the epidural at the point where I "gave in" and was begging for it so she should deffo consider epidural sooner and not leave it too late!
My first birth (spontaneous) was a breeze in comparison labouring on gas&air. I think for me, the induction felt so much worse because I KNEW different 😂
