Ok so with my first baby I had a strict "no face kissing" rule this was for everyone including me and my partner.
My inlaws (mil/fil/sil/bil)basically all got really annoyed about this and caused a massive rift between us (daughter is now 4 and still we are not close because of it)
Im now worring already about baby 2 and again having to set this boundary with them.
My partner is absolutely rubbish at speaking up to his family so please dont suggest he has to do it!
I just need advice how to word it really!!!!

For us, i had a no mouth/nose kisses rule. We allowed forehead, top of head, etc., just nothing near the nose or mouth. I knew itd be a battle, so i tried to make a reasonable compromise.
