Haemorrhaging after c section

Hi all, I had a c section 2 weeks ago and was feeling good. Able to do short walks, play with my eldest son more, go for nice lunches. It was all going well until I started hemorghaing on Friday afternoon. I have spent the weekend in hospital and had surgery this morning to remove excess tissue and huge blood clots from my womb. The pain I’m in now is worse then day 1 and 2 of my c section. I’m so gutted to be back here and wondered if this has happened to anyone else? I’m really down about being in this amount of pain again and would love to chat to someone else who has had the same thing x

I also had my c section two weeks ago so this is an awareness post for me. I’m sorry you are. Going through it and wishing you a speedy recovery

This happened to me with my 1st, but I wasn't discharged before I began to hemorrhage...I'm glad you were able to get help and are still with us! It was very touch and go for me for the first 10 weeks afterwards.

It could be because the evacuation of retained products is now allowing your uterus to contract more effectively, and because this procedure requires a bit more manual handling inside your uterus, causing inflammation and tenderness. It should settle within 48 hours. Try to take regular analgesia and contact your maternity team if the pain isn't easing or worsens! Hoping for a speedy recovery for you xx

Unprotected sex a month postpartum

It’s been 4 weeks since I had my c section and yesterday things got heated and one thing led to another and we ended up having unprotected sex. He ended up coming inside me. But I dont wanna take the morning after pill because that makes me feel unwell.

But i’m more so worried about getting an infection now. Has anyone had similar experience ?

do I need to call triage?

for about an hour now my sight has been a bit blurry and weird, I had pins and needles in one hand for a good 5/10 minutes but has gone now and I feel like I’m getting a headache but I’m not sure if that’s because I had a bit of a cry

96th percentile baby help and advice

I am 32 weeks + 6 days pregnant and earlier this week I was sent for a growth scan that showed my baby is in the 96th percentile weighing approximately 5 pounds. I’m now weighing up my options of elective c-section or induction at 39 weeks. I have another scan at 36 weeks to confirm if she is still measuring big and then an appointment with a consultant. Does anyone have experience of this? I’m unsure now of what to do birth wise as I had in my head a natural water birth but that may not be the case. I was dead against c-section but now I’m thinking twice.

Anyone that’s been for a growth scan and know little one’s weight?
I’m 35 weeks and baby was around 2.7 kg!
