4D Scan

Just had our first private scan today. 4D at 25weeks. Amazing experience, highly recommend it if anyone is on the fence about it.
We didn’t find out the gender as that will be a birth surprise ❤️

Ultrasound direct are the best and all fully trained NHS sonographers. Not rushed and usually give loads of pics and videos.

Haemorrhaging after c section

Hi all, I had a c section 2 weeks ago and was feeling good. Able to do short walks, play with my eldest son more, go for nice lunches. It was all going well until I started hemorghaing on Friday afternoon. I have spent the weekend in hospital and had surgery this morning to remove excess tissue and huge blood clots from my womb. The pain I’m in now is worse then day 1 and 2 of my c section. I’m so gutted to be back here and wondered if this has happened to anyone else? I’m really down about being in this amount of pain again and would love to chat to someone else who has had the same thing x

do I need to call triage?

for about an hour now my sight has been a bit blurry and weird, I had pins and needles in one hand for a good 5/10 minutes but has gone now and I feel like I’m getting a headache but I’m not sure if that’s because I had a bit of a cry

Tap block

I don’t know if you guys have ever tried or been given a TAP block during your C-section, but I’ve heard it can help a lot with the pain afterward.

When I had my emergency C-section, I don’t remember feeling any burning. I do remember it hurt and that it was hard to move around, but I don’t remember being in severe pain. Since I’ve seen so many women say their C-sections were extremely painful, I’m wondering if maybe I was given a TAP block without realizing it, or if I just had a pretty good experience overall.

I’m having my C-section with the same doctor, so do you think I should ask about getting a TAP block, or is it likely my recovery will be similar to the first time?
