What milk do I feed LO after 1 years old?

Probably a daft question but if formula is only until 1 years, what do I feed during night time wake ups after 1 years old? Wouldn’t cows milk be too heavy to digest during the night.. please share what you’re doing in the night time after 1 years old

At the age of one you now introduce full fat whole milk. But you can also keep going with formula if you want to just the stage as I believe it would be stage 3 now. You just check the age on the side of the formula.
My son is 2 in a couple of weeks and for the most part he has whole milk but overnight he has a bottle of formula.
In 2 weeks I will be stopping formula completely as he now prefers something more filling so I have been giving him wheetabix when he wakes and the. He goes back to sleep.

Ideally you would switch to full fat cows milks during the day and water only over night. You can continue to offer formula while you work on weaning them away from it. Stick with the same formula you have been using if you want to. There is little difference between it and the next stage up which literally only exists as a marketing ploy (legally you are not allowed to promote or market infant formula but you are allowed to with follow on milk). If you do offer anything other than water over night remember to brush teeth after to prevent baby bottle tooth decay

Like Gemma says, if you’re continuing to use formula don’t buy into the older aged formula as it’s just a marketing scheme to get more money.

I've had some super painful realizations since having another baby almost 4 months ago. Anyone else with more than 1 child experience that?

Pram

Hi, when did you change the pram from the carry cot to the seat? My little boy is nearly 4 months and just wants to look around everywhere

6 week old won’t sleep in crib!!

Is this normal? I’m not expecting a full night of uninterrupted sleep but she won’t even settle for 20 minutes without crying and I’ve seen previous posts from you all where some are sleeping through or are at least getting 2-3 hour stretches with your LOs. Am I doing something wrong? She’s still yet to spend a night in her crib before I give up after the 10th transfer (using all the special methods) and hold her for the rest of the night which is becoming v unmanageable!
She’s gone through phases of settling up to an hour but these days as soon as her bum hits the warmed scented mattress she’s awake! Someone help and tell me this is normal and it will change (soon I hope!!)

Belly dropped

So I am 34 weeks +1 with my first and I think my belly dropped today. It literally feels like he is between my legs and I have to pee constantly even when I just went. So I panic bought everything I need for the hospital bag and postpartum care. How long after belly dropping did you go into labor?

Has anyone else had completely conflicting advice about overnight feeds?

My little girl is 10 weeks old. She struggled with her weight initially, but she’s now 5.84 kg and gaining well.

A week ago we were told it was absolutely fine to let her sleep and not wake her every 3 hours overnight anymore. We’ve finally started getting the odd 5–6 hour stretch, which has been amazing for both of us.

Then today, a different health visitor told us that advice was wrong and that we should still be waking her every 3 hours because breasts are always producing milk, babies don’t know it’s night time, and there are hormones in overnight milk that she’d be missing out on.

Now I’m completely confused! 😅

Has anyone else been given conflicting advice? If your baby was gaining weight well around 10 weeks, were you still waking them every 3 hours overnight, or did you let them wake naturally?

14 weeks advice for a FTM

I have a very active little boy and even when sleeping he’s flailing and kicking, he’s touching his face when he’s sleeping and even puts his hands in his mouth. Do I get him up to feed him or leave him as he’s still asleep?

I have been getting him up when he’s been moving about in the past few days but tonight I thought I’d leave him but I don’t want him to be hungry :/ he is formula fed and does eat a good amount in the day.

Is this a case of enjoy the sleep or yes he’s stirring get him up to feed?
