6 week old won’t sleep in crib!!

Is this normal? I’m not expecting a full night of uninterrupted sleep but she won’t even settle for 20 minutes without crying and I’ve seen previous posts from you all where some are sleeping through or are at least getting 2-3 hour stretches with your LOs. Am I doing something wrong? She’s still yet to spend a night in her crib before I give up after the 10th transfer (using all the special methods) and hold her for the rest of the night which is becoming v unmanageable!
She’s gone through phases of settling up to an hour but these days as soon as her bum hits the warmed scented mattress she’s awake! Someone help and tell me this is normal and it will change (soon I hope!!)

My little one is 6 weeks also and he’s exactly the same! I put him throughout the day in his crib ( he mainly wakes up) but will sometimes sleep! At night we bath him around 9ish and give him milk. By 10 he’s in a deep sleep and will go down in his crib but once he wakes up he sleeps in the bed with me as I value my sanity at 2am 🤣🤣

This sounds like what we were like (our little one is 15 months now) the love2dream swaddle was a game changer.
We bought her that and all of a sudden she was doing little sleeps in her cot/next to me.
I think the cot just felt too big and open for her. The swaddle worked wonders. We’ve bought one for every friend that’s had a baby since 🤣

Would you do/say something if you could hear your neighbour’s kids crying for hours most evenings?

I’m not sure if they are doing the cry it out method but child will scream and cry for the whole street to hear for hours almost every evening. Just when it stops, 5/10 minutes later they are crying again.

I’m not even their direct neighbour and it’s loud enough for me to think it’s my child upstairs.

I know the family well enough to know it’s the 20 month old boy so I do just think it’s the cry it out method but surely after 1 hour of crying they would do something else, let alone 2

Did you struggle with breastfeeding?

Hi all, planning on having elective c-section. Wondering if you struggled with breastfeeding due to the c-section, especially colostrum in the early days?

🗓️ Choosing not to breast feed

Does anyone else feel the pressure from other mums who choose to breast feed and medical gps and midwives…
I’m having my third child and I am choosing not to breast feed as it was very exhausting for me to do with my 1 at child even when expressing and allowing my partner to feed my son always ended up just wanting me to breast feed instead so I got no sleep… I did not breast feed my second child as I had no milk being produced to feed or express and had blocked ducts which were sore…. I’m due my 3rd in 4 weeks and just feel pressured all the time to try it at first then go to bottles but I feel that will confuse and make things linger for my baby to get used to a bottle of if I do then switch???
Thoughts and advice appreciated x

How long are your little ones sleeping at night before waking up?

Totally know it's not likely to have long periods of sleep without wake ups at the moment, with how little they all are, I'm just interested to hear everyone's experiences 😊

Belly dropped

So I am 34 weeks +1 with my first and I think my belly dropped today. It literally feels like he is between my legs and I have to pee constantly even when I just went. So I panic bought everything I need for the hospital bag and postpartum care. How long after belly dropping did you go into labor?

I've had some super painful realizations since having another baby almost 4 months ago. Anyone else with more than 1 child experience that?

A lot of big feelings about my parents and myself as a mother. I had a big one today about myself as a mother.
