What is everyone’s thoughts on these? We are considering taking a side of my sons cot off and putting on of these one?
We lowered how cot recently and I’m so short I’m struggling to get him down for bed and makes resettling difficult when my partners not there. We considered getting a floor bed but really not in the financial situation for this yet.
Get nervous about things like this so would love to know! My son’s 13 months.

We’ve got this exact one and it’s a bit bulky/clunky on a cot but does the job and would recommend. Think he was 2+ when we dropped the side though? We’re transitioning to a single bed soon and it’ll be perfect for that.

Hi! So have you heard of Montessori? They actually encourage floor beds for babies 12 months and older. And here’s a bit about what Montissori recommends
1. Safety and the "Room-as-Crib" Concept
Because your baby can freely leave the bed, the entire room must be baby-proofed. [1, 2]
Anchor Furniture: Secure all dressers, bookshelves, and heavy items to the wall to prevent tipping.
Eliminate Hazards: Cover electrical outlets, remove all cords and wires, and keep small objects out of reach.
Secure Windows: Install window guards and ensure all blind cords are tied up or completely removed.
Safe boundaries: Place the bed in a clear space, ideally a foot or more away from the wall to prevent entrapment. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
2. The Ideal Sleep Setup
Firm Mattress: Use a highly breathable, firm mattress (such as a standard crib mattress) rather than a soft, plush adult mattress.
Minimal Bedding: Only use a fitted sheet on the mattress. Do not use loose blankets, pillows, or stuffed animal

to prevent suffocation risks. For warmth, use a wearable sleep sack.
Floor Mat: Place a soft play mat or rug on the floor immediately next to the bed to cushion any accidental rolls off the mattress.

Google Montessori floor bed for some comfort and peace of mind in this decision. :) I think you’ll feel way better about it

Montissori recommends Basic low platforms: Simple wooden bases that sit an inch or two off the ground.

I believe need to be 18 months for these

I was co sleeping and used this on my own bed once she was 1 - had no issues with it. I’ve since taken it off my bed and took the side of her cot off and put it on her cot as the same as you I couldn’t lower her into the cot.
She’s absolutely fine in the cot, she’s fully able to move round etc so no concerns xx
