So I don’t have much time left before my registry discounts expires and have up to $900 worth of savings… but would have to spend 5K to get all those savings. Do I go CRAZY shopping stocking up (smaller items with any bigger expenses) for things I’ll for sure need the next 2 years… technically it’ll be 5k worth of stuff for just over 4k… my husband thinks my logic is nuts 🤷♀️

If you 1) have the funds today 2) have space to comfortably store it all 3) have a good idea of what you'll need, then I say go for it! 1/2 the time I use my registry to pick up things for the older kids. Not sure what registry you're using but I know at least with Amazon, a lot of stuff isn't "completion discount eligible" though

I think it’s nuts too. That’s a butt ton of money and you really don’t need that much and those discounts aren’t always actually that good. And by time that 2 years comes some of those things you got you might not like anymore. I’d get the things you need now for the first like year and leave it at that. Did you have a baby shower or anything did people buy you stuff on there as well? What registry are you using where you need to spend money to get the discount?
