Morning sickness

Just need some advice please

I have morning sickness everything I eat comes back up, it was so bad that I was admitted in hospital. I’ve tried 3 different anti sickness tablets, they don’t work. I eat small portions and slowly. Is this normal as I didn’t experience this with my first child.

Hi Nina, hope you’re doing well. Do you know what you’re having boy or girl because it’s very common to have morning sickness when it’s a girl
Keep bland items like crackers or toast by your bed to eat before getting up or try ginger or peppermint tea. ❤️

it sounds like it could be hg which is a severe form of pregnancy sickness that can lead to dehydration and weight loss. keep advocating to get care and fluids when you need them and baby should be absolutely fine, and push them to keep trying different medicine combos with you. supposedly it's rare but i dealt with it and have met sooo many other women who have i'm confident it's way underreported because drs often don't care enough to properly diagnose it. if you're feeling stuck or overwhelmed there's a great charity called pregnancy sickness support, reach out to them for a chat xx

Hi Nina sorry to hear this I know how you are feeling I felt like this through my pregnancies especially my last baby. It's hard what helped me was finding foods that I could eat and keep down and sticking to them. Drink plenty water take sips, just know its also not going to last your second trimester you should feel better xx stay strong x

Not sure why but orange lucazade was a life saver for me , I couldn't eat for the first 18 weeks but this was recommended by my midwife and was a game changer

Hi!
I had hypremesis gravidarum in my pregnancy sounds very similar.
Contact your gp and tell them and ask them to prescribe you Xonvea (pronounced Zonvea) and ondanestron. Thats what worked for me. I was throwing up 20+ times until 25 weeks pregnant!
But since been on those meds I’d say it was once a day sometimes every other day.

Try your GP again on the anti sickness - there’s at least 5 different tablets to try and sometimes you need a combination of them. I ended up with combining metoclopramide and ondansetron and had to religiously take them every 4 hours even overnight. A lot of people swear by Xonvea (wasn’t for me personally) but some places won’t offer it straight away as it’s expensive so you have to advocate for yourself a lot. Ondansetron has some increased risks in early pregnancy so they might not have tried that yet.
Also second reaching out to pregnancy sickness support - they can give some advice on how to approach doctors to get what you need and also just check in on your wellbeing since it can be draining x

I’m 36 weeks, I have gestational diabetes (that I’m managing very well) and anemia, my baby is 8 pounds and 3 ounces, I asked my doctor if we could discuss an induction, I feel like I’m being forced and idk what to do

Fandom baby names

Anyone else find it cringey or hate it when people name their kids after something from a popular book, TV show or film?

Like when everyone was naming their kids from Game of Thrones or now I keep seeing ACOTAR names (love love love the ACOTAR books but no way was I going to name my child Rysand 🤪)

Partner doesn’t drive – any advice?

I’m due in November with my first baby, and we live around 35 minutes from the hospital. My partner doesn’t drive, and him passing before the baby arrives isn’t an option, so I’m just wondering if anyone else has been in the same situation? How did you manage getting to the hospital when you went into labour, and do you have any tips or advice? 🤍
