When will baby do stretches at night

My baby is 2.5 weeks breast fed, sleeps great during the day doesn’t sleep at night, I’m begging for some stretches in between feeds even 1.5 hours before each wake or feed would help me survive. When will this happen is there anything I can do? Please don’t tell me to sleep when baby sleeps I have a toddler and partner is back to work so this isn’t possible

Does baby wake up when you try and transfer them? Have you tried co sleeping and side lying breastfeeding?

You can try helping baby to notice the difference between night and day. So when you get up in the morning, open the windows and curtains to let all the light in, feed baby while chatting to them and then change them so they dont fall back asleep, play music or put the tv on, do some tummy time/play with them etc. Do this after each of their feeds to try drag it out a bit, you want wake windows currently to be about 45-60 minutes long working up to 90. Then at bedtime, make it low lighting and quiet, soothing music or white noise, a gentle bath and massage. We used a sleep sack at night but not during the day for example.

At this age they sleep a lot! They could be sad at night just because they want more comfort and interacting which obviously unlikely to get at night. But generally sleep routines dont really come into play until around 3-4 months...

Newborns are different. My LO didn’t sleep at night until he was 12 weeks.
He sleeps all day with a 30 min wake window and at night, he was awake from 11 pm to 4 am with a 30 mins sleep in between. They miss the mom’s comfort at night especially so they might be crying or awake.

Save my marriage plus a newborn

My baby is 5 weeks old and me and my husband are in the worst place weve ever been in our marriage. I used to feel like we were soul mates, he was my best friend but now we keep having arguments over petty things, when I try to communicate with him, he doesn't listen and storms off but then I cry and he shouts, swears and name calls if I try to stand up for myself. I've been diagnosed with postnatal depression too and am under the perinatal mental health team, they suggested some medication but my husband says hes "disappointed" that im considering medicstion. Any tips on how to save my marriage with a new born?

Do babies stop having blowouts?

My son is three months old and has occasional blowouts, we don’t deal with this problem a whole lot, but it happens and it stains his clothes when he does. I want to dress my son in cute outfits, but I don’t wanna spend money on nice if he’s just going to poop through them. So can anybody with older babies tell me does it stop or when does their poop become more solid and not as runny?

P.S. I know that babies are gonna poop and make messes. I don’t expect everything to be perfect clean all the time.

Baby crying all evening

Hi everyone,

My baby girl has turned one month old today and in the last few weeks she has been very gassy. We started infacol before every feed and it seems that after she has had a big poo, she settles more.

However in the last few days she has been making herself overtired. It doesn’t matter what I try during the day, she just won’t settle down for a nap unless on me and most of the time, even on my chest, she is just so exausted that she won’t settle.

Today I managed to get her to sleep a bit better during the day but then from around 7ish this evening, up until 11, she was just not calming down. We tried rocking, lowering lights and stimulation, bath, feeding, she just wouldn’t settle.

Anyone else going through this or has any tips? Is this due to a growth spur or?

Temporary Hair dye

My LO is 3 and he really loves colour and expressing himself, he likes his nails painted, drawing "tattoos" on his arms and always wears sunglasses, necklaces, watches and gloves. I love to let him find his own style and enjoy being himself. I've seen lots of videos of parents using temporary hair dye on their kids over the summer, i think my LO would love it. I was thinking jjst the tips or a peekabo or some strips, he loves red and purple so i was gonna mix it up a bit. I think its such a fun tradition to do over the summer and they can grow it out before school starts. Just wondering if anyone has done this or is considering giving it a go?
I was gonna use artic fox as i've heard its pretty good for keeping the hair healthy and fades after a while

Unpopular opinion..

I’ve never had my baby in a swaddle (just sleeping bag) and I’m not sure I agree with it..
