Early riser

My daughter will be 8 weeks old in two days, the last few nights she’s been waking for a feed around 5-6am, then is completely wide awake afterwards and will not go back to sleep. She’s also started making grunting noises even if she seems completely happy, so I can’t get back to sleep either as she’s so loud. Any tips on how to get this wake time slightly later? She’s currently feeding around every two hours (formula fed). Thanks!🥰

We went through a phase of this. Is she warm enough and is your room completely pitch black?

They don’t develop a circadian rhythm until around 8-12 weeks so they’ve no concept of night and day yet 🤦🏼‍♀️. It comes soon though!

My Daughter has been the exact same but today she is still asleep now at 7.30am. They cant tell the difference between night and day so wake times are completely random at this age. I'd love to think sleeping til half 7 every morning will be a new routine but im not holding out much hope 🤣 x

Save my marriage plus a newborn

My baby is 5 weeks old and me and my husband are in the worst place weve ever been in our marriage. I used to feel like we were soul mates, he was my best friend but now we keep having arguments over petty things, when I try to communicate with him, he doesn't listen and storms off but then I cry and he shouts, swears and name calls if I try to stand up for myself. I've been diagnosed with postnatal depression too and am under the perinatal mental health team, they suggested some medication but my husband says hes "disappointed" that im considering medicstion. Any tips on how to save my marriage with a new born?

Do babies stop having blowouts?

My son is three months old and has occasional blowouts, we don’t deal with this problem a whole lot, but it happens and it stains his clothes when he does. I want to dress my son in cute outfits, but I don’t wanna spend money on nice if he’s just going to poop through them. So can anybody with older babies tell me does it stop or when does their poop become more solid and not as runny?

P.S. I know that babies are gonna poop and make messes. I don’t expect everything to be perfect clean all the time.

Baby crying all evening

Hi everyone,

My baby girl has turned one month old today and in the last few weeks she has been very gassy. We started infacol before every feed and it seems that after she has had a big poo, she settles more.

However in the last few days she has been making herself overtired. It doesn’t matter what I try during the day, she just won’t settle down for a nap unless on me and most of the time, even on my chest, she is just so exausted that she won’t settle.

Today I managed to get her to sleep a bit better during the day but then from around 7ish this evening, up until 11, she was just not calming down. We tried rocking, lowering lights and stimulation, bath, feeding, she just wouldn’t settle.

Anyone else going through this or has any tips? Is this due to a growth spur or?

Temporary Hair dye

My LO is 3 and he really loves colour and expressing himself, he likes his nails painted, drawing "tattoos" on his arms and always wears sunglasses, necklaces, watches and gloves. I love to let him find his own style and enjoy being himself. I've seen lots of videos of parents using temporary hair dye on their kids over the summer, i think my LO would love it. I was thinking jjst the tips or a peekabo or some strips, he loves red and purple so i was gonna mix it up a bit. I think its such a fun tradition to do over the summer and they can grow it out before school starts. Just wondering if anyone has done this or is considering giving it a go?
I was gonna use artic fox as i've heard its pretty good for keeping the hair healthy and fades after a while

Unpopular opinion..

I’ve never had my baby in a swaddle (just sleeping bag) and I’m not sure I agree with it..
