Going mad

Does anyone want to feel like they’re going mad lol my little one is now 14 weeks and I do love every minute of it but with his naps and stuff there’s just no getting anything done. I know this is normal by the way, but I’ve gone shopping and bought a load of cleaning products knowing that I’m probably not gonna have time to actually clean. Anyone else go on an impulse on maternity leave and just buy a load of random stuff haha

Ahh I feel this!! We moved into our house almost exactly a month before baby was born and didn’t really get things sorted before he was born. We did the bare minimum (and it took a false labour alarm for us to even build is next-to-me!) but there’s SO much to be done still. I’ve been filling my Amazon basket with roofing felt with the view of re-felting the shed roof, bought some boxes with the view of sorting things into storage, ALL the toy storage but still things are in a mess, ALL the cleaning products, yet nothing is clean ha!

I try to make microscopic progress each day with it, so instead of a massive deep clean of the bathroom, I’ll wipe the sink round after brushing my teeth or sorted the boys clothes into vacuum bags over a few days when I got the chance. Not sure how we’re going to find time to sort the shed out 😅 but if I buy the stuff, at least the thought was there! 😅

2nd section

My first I had a planned section it was great. My 2nd planned section is next week.

Question - did anyone go earlier 2nd time round? Was it a scary experience?

I’m worried go early. I’ve been told I would still get my section but treated as emergency section but I’m just really worried and anxious about that happening.

7 week scan

Hi,
Has anybody had a 7 week scan for reassurance and did you hear a heart beat / would you recommend it? I don’t feel like I can wait another 3 weeks until my first midwife appointment!

Gunky eye - blocked tear duct

Hi all - my baby is now 4wks 5days old and since she was born gets a gunky right eye, they told me it was due to a blocked tear duct and will go eventually. We clean it with boiled water/ cotton wool but wondered if anyone else’s baby gets this and what may have helped?

Early Scan?

I’m trying to decide on whether or not to book an early scan, it’s my first pregnancy and will be 5wks tomorrow. I’ve had some mild cramping and coloured discharge, according to NHS it’s all normal. I have quite severe anxiety as it is, and this is making me spiral slightly. I’m trying to reassure myself but I don’t know if booking an early scan will help?

How soon after losing your mucus plug did labour start/baby born?

I’m starting to get lots of symptoms/indications that labour is getting closer. But how soon after losing your mucus plug did labour start and then when was your baby born?

I lost my plug yesterday and feeling crampy and more emotional today…
