2nd section

My first c-section was meant to be a planned one but he decided he wanted to come a day early. It was classed as a grade or category 3 emergency c-section which just means that they need to get the baby out that day but it is just like a planned one would be. There is no rushing and panic. I had an amazing experience!

Hi the fact you have had a c section before means you know what’s going to happen, you know what’s to come. Mine was an emergency 3 weeks early one of the rarest placentas after 2 years of ivf i couldn’t believe it. The shock of not wanting a c section and not knowing was happening was horrific.

Basically you are going to be fine it’s going to be no different than the first time.

Not the same but, my first was a planned cat 3. My second was planned but on the day when they did the normal checks my baby’s heart rate kept dropping so they treated it as an emergency and rushed me through. They were both very similar experiences to be honest

I went into labour a week before my first elective section. Honestly it was just as calm and easy as my actual elective second time around. I just called up, went in for monitoring, get prepped and joined the theatre queue. It’s emergency on paper only because Labour has started, it’s honestly so calm.

I actually really liked it! my son was breech so I had a planned c section but my waters went about 1.5 days early. I just went straight into hospital. It was 2AM so I had to endure about 8 hrs of contractions, but most of that was pretty manageable and I imagine if I'd progressed quicker they would've rushed more. They essentially had 3 slots in the morning and I got number 2.

It meant that I got to experience a bit of natural labor and also that I knew my son was "ready to be born" which I appreciated.
