Hi everyone, my 5 year old will be starting kindergarten in a few weeks and I’m kinda lost so I’d appreciate some light over here what to expect and what to do.
I already bought the majority of her school supplies and her uniforms. My question is, what things are for my child and what stays in the classroom? I’m from South America and you usually keep with you (in your backpack) things like folders, notebooks, pencil box, etc. cause I’ve seen online about labeling her stuff but I don’t know what things I should put a label on. I know things like disinfecting wipes, tissues, band aids, ziplock bags are for the classroom, right?
I’d also like recommendations about backpacks and lunch boxes and lunch bags. What is a plus for her to have in her backpack too. I already have in mind a wet bag for her and like hand sanitizer, wipes for herself but I don’t know what else she’d need.
Any suggestions, tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated!

Did the school not give you any info? They are all so variable
My sons school asked us to send pencil case, pencils, 5 workbooks, along with bag lunch box and water bottle
My daughters school supplies everything (even hats) so we literally only send lunchbox and drink bottle

Have you had orientation yet and met the teacher? The teacher usually tells you what is for your child and what is for the classroom.
