Eye with discharge

I have a 2-week-old and he has a left eye that has persistent discharge. I'm cleaning you with just water and cotton swabs but it seems to be reoccurring. The eye is not red or anything like that, it doesn't look irritated I'm just wondering if this is normal or if I should be more concerned?

My little one was exactly the same for a good few weeks, I was told it was completely normal as long as it’s not red and irritated. Just cooled boiled water and a cotton pad to gently clean the eye a few times a day. It went as soon as his eyelashes came through

They can often get a blocked tear duct, my baby had this at a few weeks old and I panicked! But it went quickly with cooked boiled water and cotton xx

Omg my little boy is almost 7 months. For the first 3 months of his life his eyes did this when I went to the pediatrician he said that because the tear ducts are so small it can do that until the baby gets bigger. I would just use a baby wipe to keep it out of his eyes and not allow them to get crusty.

2nd section

My first I had a planned section it was great. My 2nd planned section is next week.

Question - did anyone go earlier 2nd time round? Was it a scary experience?

I’m worried go early. I’ve been told I would still get my section but treated as emergency section but I’m just really worried and anxious about that happening.

7 week scan

Hi,
Has anybody had a 7 week scan for reassurance and did you hear a heart beat / would you recommend it? I don’t feel like I can wait another 3 weeks until my first midwife appointment!

Would you go to the doctor?

I'm 26 weeks pregnant. Last Thursday, whilst lifting up my daughter, I felt a ping in the middle of my stomach. It didn't really hurt, but it was noticeable. Ever since then, when I lift even light things, or when I walk/stand up I feel a light pain in the area. It is also very sensitive. It's not really overly painful, it really is just a slight niggle. I didn't have anything similar with my first pregnancy. Should I go to the doctor?

Baby is Born!

I am graduating from this group and moving to July babies.
Baby was born yesterday Jul 18th at 311pm. We were 36 + 6 days. I had a 2 1/2 hr unmedicated labor from start to finish at a birth center. We are home and settled.

Happy to answer any questions!

Early Scan?

I’m trying to decide on whether or not to book an early scan, it’s my first pregnancy and will be 5wks tomorrow. I’ve had some mild cramping and coloured discharge, according to NHS it’s all normal. I have quite severe anxiety as it is, and this is making me spiral slightly. I’m trying to reassure myself but I don’t know if booking an early scan will help?

How soon after losing your mucus plug did labour start/baby born?

I’m starting to get lots of symptoms/indications that labour is getting closer. But how soon after losing your mucus plug did labour start and then when was your baby born?

I lost my plug yesterday and feeling crampy and more emotional today…
