Detachment

Am I the only one that feels completely detached from their kids…? I didn’t get hit right away with my first kid, but it hit me immediately after my second kid… I feel detached from my life, relationships just don’t seem to matter, detached from my own kids… don’t get me wrong, I love them to death, but I no longer feel any connection with them… like all I wanna do anymore is just disappear awhile away from my kids and just be left completely alone… but at the same time, I don’t trust myself completely alone… I’m so incredibly angry all the time and all o wanna do is cry… everything sets me off… I’m just so over it all…

I think this is very common for mommas experiencing PP depression and you are definitely not alone in this. But I think seeking help to work through this and giving yourself time and grace will be most beneficial. You can both love your kids and struggle with the pressure of motherhood. Both feelings can exist simultaneously. Is there a way that you can get a break in?

I experienced this while pregnant. I had severe prenatal depression. While pregnant, I didn't want to be around my daughter or husband. I got admitted into a psychiatric ward for a week, and I got stabilized on medication. I never felt happier. Good luck to you, mama❤️

Austin TX AREA or closer!!

Okay... one more try. 😂

Truthfully, I'm tired of feeling like it's so hard to make real mom friends. I'm not looking for hundreds of people—just a few genuine women who want to build an actual friendship. The kind where we check on each other, have playdates, laugh, vent, celebrate wins, and help each other through the chaos of motherhood.

If you're looking for your village too, maybe we can build one together. 🤍

What the hell?

Soo my baby daddy and i were only dating for 3 months before I got pregnant... we said we loved each other and we would try to be a family together...
Im now 36 weeks pregnant and hes just moved in with me... but we havent had sex in months... it rarely happens, im not really an initiator and tbh theres been some moments where he has presented very immaturely and it gives me the ick... also whenever we do have sex... i never orgasm and he doesn't seem to even care about it. He hasnt gone down on me for more than a minute at a time and i can count on one hand the amount of times its happened in the past 11 months... the sex is just shockingly shit...

I feel awful but i end up missing my ex as we had a great sex life... and now my baby daddy is living with me i thought the sex might pick up... but no, anydowntime we might get together where it could happen, he goes on his phone and plays games....

I feel so ignored and so underappreciated... hes already told me he finds me less desirable since being pregnant... we care about each other and have a nice emotional connection but the connection is not sustaining either or us and weve both admitted were unhappy but he doesnt want to talk about it or seemingly do anything to change it...
Ive had a difficult pregnancy living on my own most the time, trying ro renovate my little home... my dog passed away in april and then my brother died by suicide a month ago....
So its been awfuk and tbf mt partner has really tried to be there to support me emotionally...
But i get no physical suppory or care such as affection/massage or any intimate touch... its just pecks and hugs here and there but it just feels empty...

What the hell should i do? I dont feel its enough anf when i try and bring it up he just shuts down or avoids... he doesnt seem to want to make me feel any better...

I have been doubting whether hes actually honest with himself or me about his feelings... i just dont feel hes that interested in me

If your husband said he used to pay for sex would that change how you feel about him?

This does not relate to me personally before I get a bunch of advice lmao

Is this girl a red flag

You've joined a small friendship group, 1 girl who we will call A shares with the group she doesn't get along with a girl who is well known to the group. She explains how this girl (the outsider) did her wrong.

A couple of months down the line another girl from the group, we will call be B, stops coming around as much, has gone quite in the group chat, not showing up for coffee ect, play dates with the kids.

Girl A mentions to the group that girl B has dome her wrong, ghosted her for no reason basically.

As somebody who is apart of this group.. is girl A just not having a good time right now and clearly meeting the wrong people.. or does girl A seem like somebody I'm gonna have an issue with later on down the line...

Feeling depressed 😔

Hi everyone, l want to share something that is starting to bother me. I am a really sociable person and love talking and making friends. Whenever l go to the park with my 2y old l start talking to mom's and maybe because my expectations are that they will start talk with me too... I'm getting really down ... also when we change numbers or something we start talking or going out few times and then am the only one texting them and at the end l just stopped because l don't want yo feel am forcing someone or been too pushy.... Am also pregnant, and maybe now this is emotion are playing big part with all this situation. I really wish l could find a few moms that we can call each other, go out with the kids but not feel the only one to be in the relationship... Is all this happened to someone? Or I am just overthinking 😕
