Am I the only one that feels completely detached from their kids…? I didn’t get hit right away with my first kid, but it hit me immediately after my second kid… I feel detached from my life, relationships just don’t seem to matter, detached from my own kids… don’t get me wrong, I love them to death, but I no longer feel any connection with them… like all I wanna do anymore is just disappear awhile away from my kids and just be left completely alone… but at the same time, I don’t trust myself completely alone… I’m so incredibly angry all the time and all o wanna do is cry… everything sets me off… I’m just so over it all…

I think this is very common for mommas experiencing PP depression and you are definitely not alone in this. But I think seeking help to work through this and giving yourself time and grace will be most beneficial. You can both love your kids and struggle with the pressure of motherhood. Both feelings can exist simultaneously. Is there a way that you can get a break in?

I experienced this while pregnant. I had severe prenatal depression. While pregnant, I didn't want to be around my daughter or husband. I got admitted into a psychiatric ward for a week, and I got stabilized on medication. I never felt happier. Good luck to you, mama❤️
