Love me a man who respects sex workers. đ«Ąđđ€

I find out these things before I marry a man. If he lies to me about it and I find out later on then we have 2 problems.

Yes id think he was corny đ

I believe everyone has a past bt personally it wouldnât be the fact that he slept with sex workers, it would be the fact that Iâm finding out abt it as he is already my Husband. I think certain things should be told or laid out in the open when ur dating so the person ur dating can make an informed decision on whether or not they want to continue the relationship. So the problem for me would be not be because he slept with sex workers, the problem would be âwhy did he not tell meâ and Iâm not dealing with a deceitful husband who lies! I take honesty very seriously just like loyalty so it would be a wrap for me.

I'd think he was a lowkey loser

Yes, absolutely.

Yes, I find it extremely gross for a man to think of sex as transactionary like that and that any amount of money entitles them to womenâs bodies, and I feel like itâs common sense for people to know that sex workers (particularly IRL meeting up sect of SWers) are often very poor, being exploited and taken advantage of, on drugs, etc I just think itâs so audacious and shameful for a man to engage in that and not feel scummy and corny

Also want to add thatâs not how I feel about people who are SWers themselves, thatâs how I feel about people who purchase sex work, I feel like they donât care about women, about the affects paid s** has on women and I feel like they donât respect women

Also if the roles Were reversed & I was the sex worker; I would find I would expect a man to change my mind abt me if he found that out. So itâs not just a standard I would hold for the person paying for sex bt I would also hold myself to the same standard as & I would definitely expect my Husband to change how he feels abt me if I told him that I used to be a sex worker. đ

I wouldnât care. Thatâs what sex workers are there for, to provide services.

I feel like I have to scrutinize my opinions on this and figure out what it stems from and if itâs fair after seeing some of my faves and people I respect having the opposite. I guess Iâm confused about how even if weâre assuming this scenario the SW is fully legal, that doesnât detract from the fact that legal prostitution still exists off of the commodification of womenâs bodies and the very real power imbalances of sex gender and class. And it doesnât detract from the reported mental toll like PTSD and depression that the work has on women. I think it shows a lack of moral character and responsibility to engage in it simply because youâre horny and have money and I canât imagine being a man and acknowledging these power imbalances and still doing it, I feel like the current culture of humanizing SWrs (good obvi) has rubbed off negatively on how we let these men off the hook for buying SW
