First off, I absolutely love my baby. She is so wanted and I waited a long time for her after losing her brother late in the second trimester.
But she doesn’t sleep any length at night or much at all in the day, I live far from family other than my husband who just started a new job, and she’s started to spend hours each night (8 weeks old) crying and crying for no apparent reason.
I’m burnt out, exhausted, jealous of my husband getting to go and spend the day with adults, afraid how I’m feeling is going to stop me bonding properly with my daughter and feeling guilty for feeling anything other than joyful after how much it hurt losing a baby before.
I know I’m at peak crying and bad sleeping. I know it’s going to get better. But right now, just wanting to say it out loud to a group that might understand a bit.

I can’t offer any advice but please don’t feel guilty, you can greave the baby you lost and still struggle with the baby that’s earth side. Newborns are so hard but i promise it does get better, each stage has its challenges but soon your little girl will start giggling, hugging you back ect and even those little things help me through the day with my son just keep surviving for now and before you know it this will all be a distant memory 🩷

You could be going through baby blues. Dont feel guilty, its so normal. If things dont get better, I'd chat to a GP. X
