No. What is the point of introducing it so early when there's no necessity for it? I much rather my kid studies physics, astronomy, animals, etc.

No unless I knew someone that was trans. Think I would also want to view the content first having seen this subject in the media today. The only social stories we’ve done was regarding starting school anyway.

If my child were to pick it up, and ask questions about it etc, then yes. But if she shows zero interest, I wouldn't force the subject

Same as the above really. I think, to me, there are more important things for my child to learn about. If I was asked i would probably just say it’s how they choose to express themselves and leave it at that until the child is older. I’d teach them about different family dynamics and such but detailed specifics I think can wait

Yes, we have friends and family members who are trans (including my brother's partner, who he plans to marry). Reading about trans experiences might help my daughter understand them better. I'd probably only introduce these books if she had questions, though. We're planning on homeschooling, so she won't see them at a school library.

For those who said no, will you introduce it eventually to them if they show interest?

I would say no as children can be impressionable. However if they show interest later on then yes of course.

I want another child but can’t do it 😢

I need to rant.
Every year we say next year.
But we just keep getting tired and tired.
Our nights become earlier.
Husband and I are too tired to hang out.
We have a 3 & a half year old daughter. Whom we adore.
The amount of exhaustion we have from her constantly telling us to look, how fast she wants to show us something from one thing to another, the talking.
We are great parents and know what we are doing, we tell her when it’s time for quiet time but we are dealing with a very energetic kid.
She’s in day care but we still can’t recover.
Do you believe that?

I think I married one of the most toxic men!!

My husband is soo toxic and it’s so annoyingly confusing. He’s loyal, a provider, hard working, committed to his family (me and the kids) but on the flip side this man has never paid me a compliment he finds it soo hard to say something nice to me… (he says he’s a doer not a lover boy sweet talker) but that’s not what I’m asking for I just think it’s normal to at least say well done, I’m proud of you, here give me a hug, you look nice today, you’re so good at…. Anything!!! But no just can not bring himself to do it. But to critic oh he can go on and on on things I haven’t quite done right.. always takes an opportunity to give feedback or criticism but never a word of encouragement.

I’ve tried talking to him but I realise this is just who he really is. At the start I never noticed this he was so lovely to me made me feel beautiful and seen and desired now I honestly question if he even likes me… when I ask him do you even like me he just laughs in my face and calls me dramatic.

To him the fact that he is loyal and committed to the family should tell me all that I need to know but I don’t know I just find it so weird how you can love someone and not uplift them.

Has anyone experienced this?! And please I don’t want any of the ‘no I can’t relate my husband is amazing’ comments. I’m soo happy for you but I just want to hear from those who relate of have experienced this in the past.

… help

OK so my son is 7, I got fuc**** AMBUSHED tonight by my parents because of the way I’m raising my son, he can be sarcastic he can joke he can be serious he knows everything he’s such a smart kid! But they keep saying the way I’m raising him he’s gone get beat up because he’s “sensitive “ or “ feminine” like… I just don’t understand they made me feel like absolute 💩. Keep in mind he didn’t have a father figure in his life till he was 4 so he’s always been raised by women so he still knows the “ feminine” ways you know? My parents made me feel like I wasn’t raising my baby boy right… ☹️ I don’t know what to do.

Struggling with jealousy

I’m having a hard time being ok with my husband’s interactions with women. It’s gotten to the point where I’m starting to lash out and projecting my own emotional turmoil onto others in the form of judgement. He is a lawyer and a lot of his colleagues are women. I trust that he does not cheat, but I’m having a hard time dealing with my jealous emotions. Any tips?

Am I in the wrong

I suggested to my husband that he could maybe one night every couple of weekends he could get up with the kids. At the minute im up about 5 times a night with both kids so hardly getting any sleep. Im happy to do this during the week as he is working and im on Mat leave but i dont think its unreasonable for once in a while for me to have one nights sleep. Also I do all the cooking/cleaning/childcare.
He just said no, he has a physical job and his body needs rest. He said he'll end up ill if he doesnt get his sleep. Im just really tired and expected to do everything all the time because im on mat leave.
