So our hot water wasn’t working, as the boiler pressure was down.
I called to report it, and the landlord was telling me that we should try boiling hot water, and putting it in a plastic container and washing ourselves in the kitchen ( as I said I don’t want to carry boiling water to the bathroom with two small kids). ( as a temporary fix while someone comes to repair).
And I told my mum who was with me ( my mum was in a group call with my sister and aunts). And my sister said they tried tricking you guys, and we said no, and she said they tricked Bethany ( meaning me).
It’s fine if she just said it to me, but they were on a group call with other aunties! I felt so undermined. I got annoyed saying what trick are you talking about! So now the aunts gonna think I’m disrespectful?

Are you UK? I know they have certain responsibilities with vulnerable (children) and hot water so if they are trying to put off repairs by saying wash in kitchen then that feels a bit dodgy and I can understand why she would think they are 'tricking' you. I dont personally think its a big deal she said it in front of aunts, its clearly part of the conversation they are all in and I dont see any harm in it. I also dont understand how you saying what trick are you talking about is going to make anyone think you are disrespectful?
