How do you stay progressive when you are a mother?
It almost feels impossible at times. Almost like my goals have stopped, meaning while my partner chases his.
I feel like I'm falling behind.
I always aimed for a promotion every 2 years or would move jobs for more money.
Maternity leave was soo bad and I have alot of unexpected cost which left me in debt. I have only just managed to clear it.
But the reality is being a mum comes and wife comes with alot of mental load. Don't get me started on working a job. Theres no time to feed into myself, my goals or even think about what's next for progression.

The other days I stay home and care for him.
I've struggled with the same thoughts of thinking I'm going to struggle getting back into my career and feeling like everyone around me is advancing when I'm far behind. But my partner changed my perspective on it, he said right now I'm sacrificing my career to raise my son, which is hard but we'll all be working till we're in our 60s/70s as long as we're fit and able, and this is time we'll never get back with our children and memories they'll always cherish. So even if it means chasing our goals a little later than others, it's still possible to get to where we want to get, we have time
