I was at a splashpad today where there was also a sandpit.
I was playing with my daughter when I heard a boy say "you're gonna ruin those shoes". After a few minutes I noticed that the other boy (who was about 7 years old) was wearing my trainers that I'd left on the edge, and had got them super wet and sandy. The boy walked over to his mum who was sat with her friends and she just started laughing and had her hand over her mouth. Her and her friends stayed sitting and chatting and the boy just threw them onto the sand.

Zero boundaries, I'd definitely address the mom.

I think i would of been a little passive aggressive and made a point of thanking the boy who had alerted. Something like pointing out how it isnt nice to take other people's things so thank you for looking out for my shoes and probably finished it with a look that could kill at the adults... rude asf

I definitely would have said something to mum
