Chronic pain / chronic illness girlies what’s upppp
Ok so I was at a wedding of my very close friends at a farm this past weekend my son was in the wedding as the flower boy all super cute but that means we were there for the rehearsal dinner and drinks, the wedding day was busy of course, and then the next day my husband helped with take down of tables etc and we had to go pick up our car. Luckily we had help from grandparents so we could enjoy our time
ANYWHOOOO
I overdid it so badly because I hate making other peoples life events about me and my pain. Like could barely walk for 2 days after kinds of pain. So only now a few days later do I realize I’m legit covered in bug bites from the farm on my legs. And they’re so itchy and annoying and my family is like how are you only noticing days later I’m like guys my pain was overriding my other senses I didn’t notice because my body was so focused on the pain. And that was very confusing for them. Do you guys know what I’m talking about ??

I love on chronic pain and have neuropathy so 90 % of the time I can’t feel feet or legs or hands yet my legs always feel like they’re on fire
I have arthritis all through my back
I had a level 10 migraine one day. So bad that my husband took off of work to stay home so that he could take care of our toddler son.
I was in bed all day. He brought me water and asked if I wanted food etc. I had gotten up to use the bathroom only for the day
When I got up to use the bathroom again, I told him I was gonna shower to see if it would help and he came in to help me get into the shower and everything and then asked me how I bruised my leg. I legit looked like I was beaten with a bat. I can’t tell you how it happened
I can tell you that once my migraine went away 3 days later, I was crying from the soreness in my leg from that bruise

Ooohh, yes! I cant even tell you how many days ive just forgotten to eat because im too focused on pain. Sleep has, finally, become my only relief.
I was told by my anesthesiologist and nurse during my second epidural (first labor), that i have a high pain tolerance because most people flinch at the needles, and i didnt move a bit. Like..im used to excruciating pain, a small "poke and a burn and then some pressure" is nothing 😂
I was diagnosed with artheritis in my knee and told theres nothing they can do when i was 16. Now i dont get taken seriously about it at all, and finally stopped trying to get help for it about 8 years ago.
I also have bad sciatica that makes it so i literally cant walk sometimes. Ive only just turned 30 and already have a cane i use sometimes. I bought it after getting stuck mid-step a few times because the pain made so i couldnt move my leg 😅
Im sure theres more i just cant think of it at the moment.

Yes 😭 I have arthritis and scoliosis in my back plus healing from a slipped disc that sometimes causes intense nerve pain running all the way from my sciatica area down my legs to my knees. When I have really bad days I don’t notice other things that happen to me, cuts, bruises, twisted ankle, anything lol. Everytime I go to the doctor on the pain rating scale I have to give disclaimers like “oh but it’s ok because my baseline is like a 3-5 🫠
