Boyfriend's Co-worker

Ok ladies, please be honest. How would yall feel if your boyfriend told you that a woman that he works closely with, who he talks about several times a night every night already, was the "nicest woman he's ever met in his life". It really hurt my feelings and he thinks I'm being ridiculous. Would you be ok with it or would you feel hurt?

I can totally see why that would hurt you're feelings. I think it would anyone hun. I think do some inward work and recognise why it's upset you first. Is it because you feel like you'd lose him from him having that feeling, jealousy etc. i think recognise how you're feeling and then definitely talk to him about it open and honestly. He may have exaggerated without realise we hold onto things like that etc. He's chosen you so trust that. And the fact he talks about her with you is a positive as he's letting you in with that aspect and not hiding it. Just say how you feel x

Thank you so much! I really appreciate this insight

This is something that would bother me depending on some other factors. Is she close in age range and is physical attraction a potential factor? Yeah I’d be annoyed at that.
If she’s an older woman, maybe more of a “motherly” type to him I’d be unbothered by that.

Depends how old she is and what her status is etc...i wouldnt mind if she's like older or a mentor kinda person or if she's happily married 😜

It would bother me. But my bitter feelings wouldn't come from not trusting my husband or a fear of losing him. I would just find it hurtful, that's all. I want to be the best woman in the world for my husband and representing the best choice of wife for him. If I'd hear that he may think other women come close to me then I would just feel sad

Did he show you a picture of her ?

It would be painful because I see how my partner fall in love with her

It’d bother me, talk to him and tell him how feel.

I just saw your comment about talking to him, it sounds like he said his inside thoughts aloud

Hello, I’m looking for advice regarding the coil.

I’m aware the coil can’t meet all of my needs but I’d like to avoid pregnancy, periods and weight gain.

I’m almost 24 with 2 children and my periods have been very heavy and very painful since having my second in November.

Can anyone give me advice on the coils if you’ve had one, what are the side effects and has it worked for you?

4wks postpartum husband tried to engage in sexual intimacy but was weird

To preface I have given him head once last week when I was feeling up to it kinda of spur of moment thing. Tonight he had a few beers and after I put the kids to bed I came into the room and he waved me over I thought he wanted a hug but he pulled me to sitting on top of him and then pulled off his bottoms. I’m exhausted and don’t want anything of they nature so I said I’m not doing anything tonight then he started to rub my clit (I was wearing a night gown) and put me on my back and tried to put his fingers inside which I said no I can’t do that it’s to early then he started to try to eat me out at this point I felt really uncomfortable and told him to stop in a more firm way and he said cmon don’t you want a release and I said no I want to go to bed I’m not ready for anything down there yet. Then he kinda pouted and went to play games. Now I’m feeling pretty weird with his actions and gross also before this he has very rarely ever eaten me out so I’m like why would you try now after I just had a baby? And I’m upset he kept trying after I said no. How do I talk to him about this later?

I settled… and now I’m paying the price (badly)

I’m looking for genuine advice because I feel like I’ve completely lost perspective.

I was in a relationship with someone for about a year and a half. During that relationship, I became pregnant, but sadly I miscarried. Instead of supporting me, he blamed me for the miscarriage, and eventually he ended the relationship.

About a year later, he came back saying he wanted to try again. I gave the relationship another chance because I genuinely loved him and thought maybe things would be different this time. Within a couple of months of getting back together, I became pregnant again. His reaction wasn’t happiness. Instead, he told me it was my responsibility to have protected myself because, in his words, we were “still seeing how things go.” That really hurt because it takes two people to create a pregnancy.

I’m now eight months pregnant, and throughout this pregnancy I’ve honestly felt like I’ve been doing it alone.

He has never made an effort to meet my family. The only reason he met my mum and uncle was because they happened to be at my house when he came over. They asked him what his intentions were after everything we’d been through and with a baby on the way. His response was simply that we were “getting to know each other.” We’d already been together for around a year and a half before breaking up, got back together, and now I’m carrying his child. I couldn’t believe that was his answer.

Ever since I got pregnant, he won’t let me come to his house, yet he comes to mine whenever he wants. He’ll come over, I’ll cook for him, he’ll sit back and relax, and then leave. I don’t feel looked after or cared for. I’m not talking about wanting expensive gifts or loads of money. I just expected more care, support and consideration, especially while carrying our baby.

I kept thinking pregnancy would make him more attentive, more loving or more present, but nothing has changed. His work always comes first. I completely understand that work is important, but surely your pregnant partner and unborn child should matter too.

A couple of days ago I called him. He texted saying he was really busy with work and would call me back later. He still hasn’t called. At this point I genuinely feel like I’m chasing him, and I’m tired of always being the one making the effort.

What also confuses me is that he expects me to put his name on the baby’s birth certificate and for the baby to have his surname. At the moment, I honestly don’t feel comfortable doing that. Given everything that’s happened and how unsupported I’ve felt throughout this pregnancy, I feel I need to think carefully about protecting myself and my baby legally before making any decisions.

The hardest thing for me to admit is that this relationship has made me question my own judgment.

The truth is, he was never really the type of man I imagined myself ending up with. I think I convinced myself that because he had a stable career, I should overlook everything else. I ignored the lack of emotional support, the lack of effort, the lack of affection and the way he made me feel. Looking back, I realise I’ve compromised so much of what I actually wanted in a partner.

Sometimes I look at my life and genuinely think, “How did I get here?” It almost feels like karma. There have been people in my past who genuinely loved me, respected me and treated me like I was everything to them, and I didn’t take those relationships seriously. Now I feel like I’ve ended up with someone who makes me question whether he even cares about me at all.

I’m not saying he’s a bad person. I know he works hard and has his own priorities. But I don’t feel emotionally safe with him, I don’t feel cherished, and I don’t feel like I’m building a life with someone who’s excited to build one with me.

I’m emotionally exhausted. I don’t know if pregnancy is making me overthink things or if these are genuine red flags that I’ve ignored for too long.

If you were in my position, what would you do? Would you stop reaching out and just focus on yourself and the baby? Am I expecting too much, or does this relationship genuinely sound as one-sided as it feels?

I’d really appreciate honest opinions, even if they’re difficult to hear. Please be kind—I’m eight months pregnant, emotional, and just trying to make the best decisions for myself and my son.

Shooting my shot

I want/need mom friends so bad that I'm overcoming social anxiety to see who's in the market for a friend? I have a soon to be 4 year old boy and a 4 month old girl, so bonus if our kids are close in age but honestly I just want friends 😅
