How are we all coping?
Anyone else finding some days too much? My partner works full time but also has a business that he's trying to get off the ground. It means I barely see him and when I do, one of the kids isn't settled. I feel like I don't get a break. At the start, he was super helpful with house chores and checking if I needed anything because I had a caesarean. After about two weeks that went and I'm finding the days where the baby won't go down extremely hard. We have a toddler as well that does go to nursery, but I'm still finding I can't get much done during the day because little one just wants to be held. I know this is just a phase, but I'm barely feeling like a person. I'm now on my second infection as well and feeling overall rubbish.
Why is it that the mums needs are at the bottom all the time. Some days id love to just say I'm heading out for a few hours and not need to set up an entire schedule for it.

I feel you, my partner works long hours too and I also feel this way, my house feels upside down and when I do get an hour to two if my mum comes over I feel like its just spent resetting everything and running round like a headless chicken cleaning / doing washing / nipping to run an erand, nothing ever me, feeling the same way carrying the mental load for the household but forgetting myself whilst I do it! I do hope it's just a phase im a FTM so it feels like this is the new normal forever now!

YES! I also have a toddler too and relate so hard to what you've said! I have a hobby that I go out for a couple of hours per week but I have to prepare everything ready before I go and tidy up the aftermath when I get back. He says it's hard looking after the both so he doesn't have time to tidy as he goes but would complain if I left the house like that when I look after both all day every day!
