So I was alone with a baby for 2.5 days , she is almost 9 months and she is in the stage where she only cries and wants me , she is not sleeping well ( maybe teething idk) and today when my partner arrived home he was so happy to see us , he was like “ I missed you bla bla bla “ and hugs ( sweet no?) but I could not help myself but be so tired and annoyed, like I’m happy that you are happy but I’m not , and unfortunately I could not be super happy and all nice , even though I tried , I just gave him the baby and went to the bathroom for as long as possible . Do you think I’m being bad person for that? I feel bad for not greeting him nice but at the same time come ooooon

I think it's valid to feel that way and to want to have some alone time, however, it's not okay to project that onto your husband. Resentment can fester, so it's best to talk then those emotions or process them! If the tables were turned, how would you feel/react? I'm sure we've all been here at one point or another! It's all about how we communicate our needs.

Spare of the moment I get why! Thinking back on it now, you can already tell it was abit harsh to do. Just communicate!
Apologise, tell him you missed him and that you’re happy he’s home ESPECIALLY so he can help with baby 😅😅🤣

I miss when I could go to the bathroom alone! My son is 4 and a velcro kid lol

Seems like a pretty logical greeting while it may not be the nicest or what he wanted. Completely should be given grace. You sound overstimulated/burnt out and needed a break before you could come back all sunshine and rainbows that he’s home. Which is perfectly fine, I think

I think you were overwhelmed for sure the last few days. But idk if it was. Work trip or what but I think you probably could have greeted him nicer and then be like hey I need a looong break I’ll be back later or something like that.
