Next car seat suggestions

So it’s abit early but I like to do a bit of research, our car seat for LB is up to 12months and a certain weight limit which I’m sure he’ll be by that time. Wondering which car seat to get next for him?

I just don't think im meant for motherhood.
I had my first child when I was 23, Mentally ill and undiagnosed. And I really struggled. But I had a village so it wasn't so bad. Me and his Dad split before he was 1 but he still helped me so much and we co raised him till a few years ago. Our son now lives with him the majority of the time.
Since then I've been diagnosed and worked on my self. I can control my mental illness a good majority of the time.
I thought I could handle having a baby. And after lots of loss we had our baby last year. And I've managed really well till the last few days. His whinging, crying and screaming has been relentless. And I do manage about 6/7 hours before I feel so overwhelmed I could cry. By the time Dad's home from work I'm ready to just go to sleep.. I just feel like I'm doing a really bad job and I don't have a Villiage this time either. And I don't know the point of this post I just needed to vent ❤️

Would you be okay with a 3.5yo going 6hrs without a nappy change? (Assuming no 💩)

Considering how to manage it when she starts school, they’re fine for me to come in and change her midday and will contact me if she needs a 💩 change, but I’m worried that leaving her twice a day will just upset her more because she might think I’ve come to take her home! And driving back and forth to school 3x a day will be a lot for me. I usually aim for a change every 4hrs but she’ll easily go much longer without a change on a normal day if we’re out and about and never been bothered about it or caused an issue, but I don’t know if the teachers would judge me if I suggested not coming in to change her midday. Is 6 hours bad? It probably won’t even be wet by midday tbh!

(Pls don’t vote if you only have a young baby who needs changing super regularly! She doesn’t wee every 5 minutes like a baby 🙈)

Back to work

I am returning back to work in September. My baby girl will be nearly 8 months old.
I am breast feeding aswell as pumping. Work have said they will support me with the breast feeding as if i take bottles of breast milk in they have to be used up within 4-6hrs.
How did others get on with this transition

Newborn Hates Car Seat

Our 3-week-old absolutely hates her car seat (Maxi-Cosi Pebble). The moment we strap her in, she screams like she's being tortured.

We've checked that the harness isn't too tight, looked for any marks or pressure points, and even had the seat checked by the hospital, but everything seems fine. We've also tried gradually getting her used to it with short trips. Occasionally we can manage a brief drive without too much crying, but most journeys are pretty awful.

The second we take her out, she's completely fine again, although she genuinely seems really distressed while she's in it.

Has anyone else experienced this with their newborn? Did anything help, or did they eventually grow out of it? It's really limiting how far we can travel, so we'd be grateful for any tips or advice.

Toddler refusing bedtime

Please does anyone have any advice, my 3 year old has the past 3 nights completely fought bedtime. She will non stop talk/shout/scream/make up a million excuses as to why she can’t sleep and literally will not stop talking for more than 2 seconds to keep herself awake and stop herself from going to sleep. I am going out of my mind and do not know what to do to stop her from doing this as no matter what I say, it’s a different excuse, or she just continues shouting, screaming etc. has anyone had similar and any tips that stopped their toddler doing this?

Head bumps at nursery — how worried should I be?

My son is 9 months old and has been at nursery for just 2 weeks. Today I was told that he bumped his head again — this is the second time in the exact same spot since he started nursery.

He isn't crawling yet, but he's trying to crawl and is becoming much more mobile. From what I understand, he may have been sitting on a cushion and rolled off, although I'm not completely sure exactly how it happened. The nursery has a mix of carpeted and wooden flooring.
His carer said they applied an ice pack and that he seems completely fine now, but I'm feeling quite concerned and upset, especially as this has happened twice in such a short period of time.
really appreciate hearing from other parents — how common is it for babies this age to bump their heads at nursery/daycare? And what would you expect the nursery to do to prevent it from happening again?
