Breast feeding - should I give up

My little lady is 11 days old and I have been combi feeding her with breast and formula.
To keep my supply I have been pumping around 3 times a day as baby girl isn’t always keen on the boob. ( always offer boob before formula) I have also been giving her bottles of my breast milk.
My boobs have been tender since I started but today I have never felt pain like it. My right boob I can’t even touch. It’s so sore and I have a big bruise on the side. Feeling a bit deflated and feeling to just give up as it’s just far too painful!

Any tips?

I would recommend going to speak to a proper lactation consultant as they are the best when it comes to think kind of thing and for relief just now try cabbage leaves.
I EBF for 6 months and had to pump around 4 times a day to ensure I was emptying my breast fully, this is best to do after baby has fed from boob and always on the one that they don’t take from!
Also be kind to yourself BF is hard ❤️❤️

If you get flu-like symptoms go to the dr asap for antibiotics! Cool compress and ibuprofen should help.
Pumping and bottles aren’t recommended until at least 6 weeks old to ensure breastfeeding is established first and to allow your supply to regulate. Are the bottles properly pace fed? I would drop the bottles completely and reduce the pumping sessions to give your supply a chance to settle, hand express or latch baby if you’re engorged

If she isn’t really breastfeeding, I’d say 3 times a day to pump is possibly causing you to become engorged as babies normally feed 8-10 times a day at least. When you say big bruise is it red? If it’s tender, red, and hot to touch, this is a sign of a clogged duct - try some cold compress (not warm), some ibuprofen, and lymphatic massage away from your breast. If you start to feel flu like symptoms speak to a doctor as this could be mastitis.
If you do want to continue and just pump (if she Isn’t BF) you need to try and do it 8-10 times a day (I know this is a lot but that’s what is recommended to maintain supply/not get engorged).

You’ve done incredibly well to give your little girl breastmilk regardless of how long it’s been so always remember that ❤️

Antidepressants

Am I being selfish for remaining on my fluoxetine during pregnancy. I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant and getting lots of comments regarding coming off my antidepressants for the baby’s sake.

Baby falling off the bed

I feel terrible this morning my baby fell off the bed we never bed share but he would not sleep in his crib and I was exhausted so I let him sleep on the bed with me and this morning he rolled off whilst I was asleep I woke up immediately and he was crying and settled pretty quickly. I rang 111 just to check what I needed to do as I was terrified and they told me they have to make a referral to social services as protocol and I’m taking him to a&e to get him checked he seems fine he’s happy playing with his toys alert etc no signs of injury but has anyone else had this situation before?
I’m crying my eyes out I can’t believe this has happened and I feel so guilty any advice from anyone having a similar situation would be appreciated

Would you be uncomfortable if you were breastfeeding and a random woman was staring at your breasts?

She’s literally staring and gazing into your breasts

Not hitting motor milestones

My daughter will be 10 months in 2 days and she doesn’t crawl or officially pull to stand . She can get from sitting to hands and knees and sometimes take one or two movements then collapses . She pivots occasionally . She pushes backwards . But has been in this scenario since 7 months . She can hold the sofa or an object for a minute or two when placed . She has pulled to stand on my knees once but never again or never on an object . She can pull from sitting to her knees when she holds a chair or soft . Barely rolls . Is comfortable sitting all day and reaching from sitting for a toy then back to sitting . Can’t go from lying down to sitting . She gets frustrated and screams because she can’t get something and doesn’t know how to reach for it as she hates ending on her tummy . Her legs I’d say are pretty strong she always reaches for me and basically does the pulling up work just using my hands . She is ahead of her social and communication milestones it’s just the motor ones . Any advice ? Is there something that helps . Could this be an issue ? Or any one who has been in a similar situation . I just see all these babies way younger than her crawling around and pulling to stand and I’m starting to be concerned .

Braxton Hicks vs Actual Contractions

Is it just me or is anyone else getting so stressed out about trying to work out if they’re just experiencing braxton hicks contractions/false contractions versus actual contractions? 🥲

I’ve had quite intense pain and aching in my lower back that’s come and gone since I woke up this morning, and the sensation of it is making me want to cry, but I’m stressing myself out more trying to figure out if I need to lock in and be ready for active labour to start soon or if I’m just being dramatic 😂

Stopping formula

Hey, just wanted to get some advice on when / how to stop formula! Is it a straight swap to cows milk on their first birthday? Or swap one bottle a day or something and do it gradually? Also, what kind of bottles should we be using?

I breastfed for 10 months and still have some freezer stock aswell, should I still give him this after he turns one?

Thank you 😊
