Advice

Any advice on how to go about this. So my partner is having a baby with another woman we broke up and he had a one night stand we got back together and then found out she was pregnant and not long after I found out I’m pregnant too. She’s due November and I’m due February. I’m gonna be super heavily pregnant by the time he has his first so I’m gonna need his support as I have 2 other children and when the baby is here do you think it’s reasonable for me to ask him to make arrangements with her specific days and times he goes to see his child? I feel like 2 night after work and a day on the weekend would be best giving im litrally gonna be 32 weeks by then it’s just really hard as it’s all I think about I feel like I can’t enjoy my pregnancy and he’s having to give her his money and things and she’s Ovc further along so I’m not as able to start buying things atm as I don’t work currently. I’m just super overwhelmed and stressed I just don’t know what to do?

No I don’t think it’s reasonable, we know as mums children never come with a plan, sickness strikes, children need there daddy’s, she gets stuck, I know this sounds horrible of me to say because I see it from both sides as ive been the other women in this situation (didn’t know he had partner and children) it’s not reasonable for him to make demands on what day he can see my son, nor is it reasonable for the other women to expect my life to be based around other women’s needs, my child also need there dad, it’s a shit situation for everyone involved to be honest and it only gets harder as they get older as even now my sons constantly wanting his dad, I couldn’t tell my son “no only set days” to make other people happy, I know this may not be what you want to hear but from being in this situation, it’s the reality, both children equally need dad, dad is in the wrong here for not using protection to prevent another pregnancy, therefor dad needs to spilt equally xx

Healing help

So my baby daddy and I split about 4 months ago. We kept fighting and he kicked me and our 2 kids out. I had to move away with family. We said some terrible things to each other and he even got into a situationship while I was gone. We eventually mended things and got back together but I still keep replaying those mean words and that B living here temporarily. I thought about all this before we got back together but I forgave him. Now Its stuck in my head. I need advice on how to handle it.

Good morning, everyone! 👋

Hope you're all having a lovely start to your day. Just wanted to pop in and say that sometimes, making new friends as a mom can feel a bit like trying to find a matching sock in a pile of laundry – tricky but totally worth it when you find the right one! If you're feeling a bit isolated or just looking to connect with some amazing moms, don't be shy! Reach out, comment on a post, or suggest a virtual coffee date. We're all in this together, and a strong mom tribe makes everything a little bit easier (and a lot more fun!). Let's make some connections today! 😊

I think

I think the world would be a better place if it was run by women! I'm honestly sick and tired of these men.

I would love to see this in my lifetime but sadly don't think I will

Update, 3 years later

So this post went off the rails a bit in the comments, but I have an update on the original situation (TL;DR: new neighbours with kid the same age didn’t seem interested in a friendship. I was disappointed).

We are now friends! The kids naturally connected by running into each other outside and now we hang out regularly. The husband is still awkward and a bit standoffish, but the wife and I are developing a genuine friendship.

Oversharer

Anyone an oversharer and you don’t even realise you’re doing it? Was talking to my partner today and she made me feel so insignificantly small and I just feel so shut down. I don’t have friends, but recently have met these girls online and have become quite close with them so know a lot about them and vice versa.

And I’m not really sure how I got onto this topic but I was yapping to my partner and I kinda casually mentioned something about my friends job yadda yadda and she just looks at me and says ‘that’s great and all but let’s just talk about my interview for a job role next week’ and while we move onto it she kinda just says ‘Y’know you talk a lot and I’m burnt out now from all that talking about your friend so I’m just gonna remove myself from the room and do something else’. We kinda got into a big argument and now she’s in the next room on ft to her friend. I know I talk a lot and sometimes don’t even really notice I’m doing it but I’d rather someone tell me to my face that I’m boring them rather than telling me I burn them out with the amount I talk. I’ve had it my whole life and now to know my partners not even interested in half the shit I say.

Sometimes she bores me with topics too but I’ve never told her to her face I’m done with the convo, i entertain it because there’s nothing wrong with a bit of conversation. Maybe I’m overreacting but it’s put me in a position now where I feel like I’m not bothered to chat to her about my friends or my interests. And she always does this, if we argue she’ll say it’s because someone else stressed me out (kids, family, friends etc) but sometimes I’m not even focused on other people to warrant stress.
