I feel like we argue a lot and never see eye to eye anymore. We are almost 1 year post partum and it’s getting worse.
I just feel like I absolutely resent him and pretty much hate him on days. We have zero communication now and don’t talk about fights because anytime I tell him what he’s done wrong he turns it around on me somehow. No one says sorry and we just start talking a day or two later because of our son.
I’d definitely say I’m more miserable than happy and I think I want to leave. My family all live 2.5 hours away from me so it’s hard to get that support from them.
Does anyone else feel this way, or is it just me?

Instead of just telling him what he’s doing wrong, can you look at yourself too. We are not perfect. If we share what we can work on maybe he’ll share what he can work on. If you want to survive and stay together after having a child, it’s all about compromise. Letting some things go if you can and working as a team

I am the same and my child is 2yr old.
We just have not been the same since he went back to work from paternity leave.
I work 37.5hrs over 4 days and he works 40hrs over 4 days. We don't see each other and when we do we argue, or if I ask him to help out with our daughter he says I meed to help out round the house more etc.
I don't get home till 8pm 3 days a week, the 1 day I finish early I collect our daughter from nursery and I have her all day the next day. His day off he semd her to his parents to he can do the housework - however he never hoovers the stairs or landing and leaves the clothes on the stairs, and then when I tell him if he helped out more with our daughter I wouldn't be so tired and would be able to do more round the house, but not apparently it is my fault for working long hours and wanting that 1 day off to spend with our daughter so I don't miss out on her growing up.
I'm fed up. Can't speak to him as it ends in arguments.

My husband and I did counseling online through the regain app and it was very helpful to talk through our issues communicating. We are still working on things and will always be a work in progress. For some reason when we had the baby we thought everything would go back to normal and that was not the case. Everything is so different now and will never be the same. If you can convince your partner to counseling I would 100% recommend that option. You are on the same team! Best of luck!

Y’all need to sit down and talk and try to get everything out and figure out a plan if you can’t do that you’re doomed.

A lot of couples struggle after having a baby, but both people have to be willing to work on the relationship. If you’ve communicated how you feel, suggested working on it, and he isn’t willing to put in the effort, it’s okay to consider leaving. You deserve a relationship where your concerns are heard and worked throug, not constantly dismissed. Plus time is gold, and you can't be waiting your time with a person that doesn't care.

I feel the same way. Expect it’s been like this before the children came. After I gave birth to my twins. My self respect came online with my maternal instincts. A lot of the things that were tolerable to me in the past are not okay now. I think it’s because I now think like a mother… I always think “is this something I want to model for my children?”
I am in marriage therapy and individual therapy. Both therapists tend to lean towards assertive communication. It’s more about being direct about my wants and needs. Sooo, if you actually want to work on your marriage and/or not have any regrets when you guys separate. You need to bravely state your needs and feelings to your husband. Repair and accountability is key too.
I spoke with a divorce attorney. I have copies of important documents, recordings, texts, and logs. I have a plan (the type of job and house listings). My family lives 2.5hr away too. If anything goes wrong. I am ready to leave.
