Hey my 6 month old rolled off the sofa today. I was not home and my partner was with him.
He seems fine. Eating and drinking as normal and has been smiling and even laughing.
My partner called 111 and they said to just monitor him.
He does seem a tint bit more grizzly this evening but he has missed a nap today as we wanted to keep him up to make sure he was ok.
Any advice, should i of taken him to hospital?
My partner is in absolute bits over it and burst into tears on the phone when he told me. He feels really guilty and I feel so sorry for him as its only the second time he has been left alone with him.
Advise please mamas Im so stressed about him sleeping tonight incase there is something wrong.

All babies get a fall make sure there’s pillows around or soft surfaces!!! Mine did not fall yet but my eyes are always on him as he is started to move around he does keep hitting his head o the cot so we need bumpers on during the day , I know the guilt but things happens … on what kind of surface did he fall in?

I don’t think there will be many babies that haven’t rolled off something at some point or bumped their heads one way or another try not to be so hard on yourselves! If he’s been acting normal and like himself all day I wouldn’t worry 😊 babies are stronger than you realise.

Ah bless your partner! Its so common, just a wakeup call to be extra careful now they are more mobile at this age. Was he ok immediately after? Was there an obvious knock to the head or any other obvious injury?
If not and he has seemed fine in himself, then i am sure all is ok. Sofas arent usually that high and hopefully he landed on carpet. Just as an FYI, I did one of the mini first aid courses recently and they said you dont actually need to keep children awake after head injuries anymore, as them being overtired can actually make it harder to monitor for signs of concussion etc. So let him sleep as normal now, check on him every few hours if it gives you reassurance or even sleep in his room if he is in his own room now, but i am sure he will be absolutely fine. 🧡

I’m so sorry for you and your baby. I hope everything goes well. I don’t know about, but probably should be fine, just keep monitoring during the night. If you see anything weird take him to the hospital.

About 4 weeks ago my son got into bed and my baby was on the end of the bed. He whizzed the duvet up and the baby flew off the bed 😭 he himself rolled off the couch as a baby.
Keep an eye out for any unusual lethargy, bleeds from nose or ears or any vomiting. These are signs that something isn't right. Follow your gut too though and if you think baby is being different then take them in.
Accidents happen and we learn from them, tell your partner not to beat himself up.
