My baby was the best sleeper since 2 months old. 7:30pm- 6:30am every night without waking. Weaving started out great too - happy to try everything but now at almost 8months he’s a different child. Refuses any and all foods - even ones he loved, and his sleep is a mess. Goes down at 7:30 but sometimes wakes up after 30 minutes and won’t go back down until 10, wakes up panicking a throughout the night and can’t seem to settle for the rest of the tonight and is awake from 5am. I don’t know what’s happened to make these changes but I want my old baby back 😭 what can I do to settle his nights and get him to enjoy weaning again? I’m beyond exhausted and at my whits end at this point.

Try putting him to bed a bit later- even if he seems tired, push it back by 30 mins- an hour as waking up after a short period is a sign they haven't built up enough sleep pressure before going to sleep, but then after their 30 minute 'nap' they need a few hours to build more sleep pressure before being able to fall asleep again. How many naps do they have? They might need to drop a daytime nap or have their day naps capped to let them build enough sleep pressure for night time! I hope it gets better for you soon! As for weaning, I think this is normal- just keep offering the foods before milk when they are hungry and hopefully they will start trying stuff again! ❤️
