Confused

As my due date is getting closer, I’m so confused on what I want to do. Had a previous 3b tear and was set on elective c section but now I’m worried I’m doing the wrong thing and maybe I should just try naturally and hope I don’t tear again. What’s everyone’s experience on a planned c section? I’ve heard the recovery is nasty

Hey! So everyone has different stories, but I had an elective c section due to my daughter being breech and having gestational diabetes and it was actually a memorable and very positive experience. My husband worked early mornings and so I still had to do a lot of the taking care of my daughter alone. The recovery was faster than I expected and it wasn’t as painful as I thought it would be. I propped myself up on some pillows at night. I used some cooling pouches on my wound (above clothing) in the day. I would do it again in a heartbeat because I feel I got to enjoy my daughter more in those early days because my birth wasn’t traumatic.

Wishing you all the best. 😊

Everyone’s recovery is very different. As a plus size mum I struggled massively with recovery because of my size. But the section its self was great. Mine was planned as my daughter was breech. I did have to have a lot of help at home. I just had a bad experience, don’t worry and overthink the aftermath, the most important thing is getting your baby out safely and what you are happiest with

Had a planned csection and so glad i did, recovery was really easy and I was doing normal things a few days later and going out on walks like normal about day 5, I know everyone's experience is different though but honestly mine was amazing. The actual csection as well was so relaxed and calm

I did not want a c section, so I tried to deliver vaginally but than ended up needing a emergency c section which was way worse. I dont think doing a c section is taking the easy way out, I think you need to do whats best for you, baby and your body. If your more comfortable.with a c section than do it.

Hip/back pain

Hello fellow mammas to be!
I’ve always struggled with hip pain, but I’m 28 weeks tomorrow and I’m finding myself in agony constantly. Every time I get up I’m hobbling like an old lady and I just can’t hack it anymore! Even through the night I’m tossing and turning because if I lay on one side for too long the pain wakes me up, but the other side hasn’t had chance to recover so I’m just stuck laying on one side in pain.
Has anyone been through the same and managed to find something to help? I’m at a point where it’s starting to get me down.
Thank you all💖

Private gender scan

How many weeks are everyone going for gender scans? Meet your miracle offers from 14 weeks but I'm not sure if it would be as reliable as if I went at 16 weeks? Any opinions on this? Tia x
