Outgrowing the changing table?

We have a changing table from mamas & papas & it has been a lifesaver after my C-section. We use it all the time but we have noticed that now our little boy is 6 months, he is looking a little big for it.

How long has everyone else used their changing tables for? This is just the one that sits atop the chest of drawers so it can just be removed.

After that did you just change your babies on the mat on the floor? Found something else? I have slight mobility issues at the moment due to some injuries that I am getting physio for, so getting down & up off the floor can be hard at times.

I don't like to change him in our bed (we've had a few pee accidents!) but at the same time, I feel like changing him on the floor if he wakes during the night will wake him up more.

I stopped using our changing table at around 3 months with both kids. Now just have a fold up mat downstairs and do it on the floor. And now they are 10 month and 2 years (eldest is fully potty trained tho) we just get dressed in a bedroom after a bath ready for bed or wherever they stay still too lol

My daughter is 2.5yo now and potty trained but up until recently I still changed her nappy on the changing table for ease of access and thankfully she’s never been a wriggler so it works well for us!

You could just get a fold up mat and do it on the sofa or bed so you aren’t going down all the way to the floor? X

Mine’s still on his at 19 months 🥲 he associates it with getting dressed etc so just kept it for consistency. He’s pretty big for it but whatever works to keep the peace, if he was on the floor he’d just run x

We just always did it anywhere with a mat or blanket i learned 70.2 so it on my lap

Never used a changing table just a mat. If I’m changing baby in bed I pop a blanket down just incase. Downstairs it’s either floor or sofa x

We still use it at almost 3yo 😂 his legs just dangle off the edge

We used changing mat on the bed or a placed a doggy pad. We got a box from Costco

I’ve always used a puppy pad on the floor or bed x

Mine's a little bit of a shorty, but she turned 2 in March and we're still using the changing table.
Is using the bed comfortable, other than pee accidents? You could get pee pads (they make big reusable ones for nighttime accidents)

Thanks in advance

Not the place to ask I understand but is there anyone who can please help with nappies or food until contacted by my baby bank referral? Shouldn't be too long now and I can happily repay when I next can x

Am i crazy?

So baby is 5 months old.. still in the next to me, unfortunately her cot doesnt fit in our room so now i am debating buying a “space saver cot” which would allow us to have her with us for longer?
She is the only baby , not planning anymore either and she sleeps through the night since day 1 so she is no trouble at all!
Am i just being crazy in here ? 😅 just feel like i am not ready for my baby girl to go to her own room yet.
Anyone else with the same issue?

What happened to my sweet boy

My baby was the best sleeper since 2 months old. 7:30pm- 6:30am every night without waking. Weaving started out great too - happy to try everything but now at almost 8months he’s a different child. Refuses any and all foods - even ones he loved, and his sleep is a mess. Goes down at 7:30 but sometimes wakes up after 30 minutes and won’t go back down until 10, wakes up panicking a throughout the night and can’t seem to settle for the rest of the tonight and is awake from 5am. I don’t know what’s happened to make these changes but I want my old baby back 😭 what can I do to settle his nights and get him to enjoy weaning again? I’m beyond exhausted and at my whits end at this point.

Night time nappy changes

Any tips for this? My baby wakes a couple of times in the night for feeds and a lot of the time has a poo in her nappy either before or after the feed. When I change her before she ends up screaming because she’s hungry and if I change her after she struggles to get back to sleep. 12 week old and breast feeding and sleeps in a sleep sack

Confused mummy

My baby will be 18months old in a few days, and she is still nursing(breastfeeeding). My plan is to stop nursing her at 20months. My husband wants her to start nursery in a month’s time but i have mixed feelings about it as i work from home with one day away from home.
She has never had bottled milk but she uses sippy cups or a normal cup quite well to drink her water.
Please advise on how to go about weaning her and the nursery bit ( is it a good idea or it it too early for her?)
Thanks

Mental abuse for a parent

I'm in my 40s and pregnant, for the first time. At the moment, I have nowhere to go so I moved in with my Dad. He has told me to get rid of the baby, told me I'm a whore because even though I'm separated from my legal husband, I'm pregnant with someone else's kid. Constantly tells me he doesn't care if I eat or if I'm sick and to keep it to myself. Etc..... so I have been trying to not bother him and do my own thing but he still says horrible things and puts me down all the time. He says I'm like my Mom and how horrible she is. It's constant verbal abuse. I'm trying so hard to not let it stress me out but how can I fix this or not let it effect my baby or myself anymore? I'm on the waiting list for section 8 but I'm also disabled and can't work ATM. I have tried talking it out with him but the more I beg him or ask him what is the problem? I get worse back. What would you do?
