Formula/ breastfeeding

I had an emergency csection 8 days ago and the midwifes advised i suplement with formula as my colostrum wasn't coming. Once i got home from hospital, we had a scare in one of the days as baby had only 1 wet nappy and the advice was again to top up with formula. I am now trying to get baby to breastfeed exclusively, should i just quit formula cold turkey or lower the amount bit by bit? Proper milk hasn't come in i think, unsure, when i am pumping the liquid is in between white and yellow, flowly, i just don't think i have enough to have to use breast pads. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

You’ll know when your milk comes in as you will look like you’ve had a boob job! The only way to increase supply is to remove milk. So as soon as your milk comes in I would get rid of the formula completely as you’ll be making lots of milk and your body will need to know how much it needs to continue to make!

I rarely used breast pads so dont take that as a sign. Different people have different flow rates etc...could you offer breast first (both sides) and if baby is unsettled offer a small top up of formula?

Pacifiers? I didn’t want to start since I don’t want her to stay dependent on it.

I’ve managed to not used one so far but it’s getting hard not too since the four month sleep regression has started and my husband is against it…

Breastfeeding and weight loss

Has anyone noticed breastfeeding has made them lose weight?

If so, how long did you breastfeed for and how often each day?

Maid of Honour drama!!

So in October, before I found out I was pregnant I asked my then closest friend to be my maid of honour at my wedding(which was going to be in March). I then found out I was pregnant a couple of weeks later and ever since then she literally started AIRING me and downright stopped talking to me basically. She has a box full of a bunch of art materials of mine that I kept asking to get and she would say that she was busy and for me to get it another time. There’s a lot more about how she treated me when I was pregnant but it’s just too much to write up.

So I obviously no longer want this person at my wedding let alone being my maid of honour and have been wanting to ask to get the things I gave her when I asked her to be my maid of honour when I do get my box of things as it would be so much more hassle to try replace every single item that I handpicked and bought for my maid of honour and bridesmaids but have not been sure what to say and been so scared of how she will react or what she will say to me or even how to approach it.

Advice please!!!

6-8 week regression (HELP)

My baby just turned 7 weeks today but for the past 3 days now REFUSES to sleep during the day. She will just cry and cry unless held. She does go for a long stretch at night which helps but i cant seem to get anything done in the house let alone feed myself. She did go through 2 days last week where she slept loads, and now this has come out of no where. Anyone else in the same boat, and will it get easier? How long is this going to last!!
