Breastfeeding and weight loss

Has anyone noticed breastfeeding has made them lose weight?

If so, how long did you breastfeed for and how often each day?

No I’ve found that my body has held on to the fat, I’ve breastfed exclusively until 7 months and now combi feed but some people do lose lots of weight

Breastfeeding burns a surprising amount of calories so feel free to eat more if you'd like to maintain your weight.
I feed around 12 times over a 15 hour period amd have lost a little bit not back to pre pregnancy weight yet x

Hi, I have lost 12kg compared to my pre pregnancy weight, in 13 months. Went to the GP and everything is fine, apparently it's not uncommon

I have lost a lot of weight and doctors were worried as I’m under 50kg now but they just told me to eat more. I’m less than my pre pregnancy weight but still breastfeeding

Let down

Is it just me or I stopped feeling the let down sensation when my baby is breastfeeding or when I pump? Is it normal or is it a sign of under supply?
15 weeks pp
I haven’t felt it in around 1-2 weeks

Next to me recommendations

I'm about to have my third, and I've never got on with our next to me crib. I'm looking for one where you can take the side completely down (not just halfway) so it's almost like an extension of our bed. Does that exist?!

Breastfeeding

Hi guys, It’s day 5 for us and I’m really struggling with this whole breastfeeding situation.

The latching, the constant having to get your breast out to feed, and feeling like my body is no longer really mine… I feel awful saying it, but right now I honestly just feel like a cow!

Then there’s the constant “be careful what you eat because you’re breastfeeding” comments from people, which are stressing me out even more. I’m already overthinking whether everything I eat is going to make baby gassy or uncomfortable.

I know we’re only 5 days in and everything is still so new, but does it get easier? Did anyone else feel like this at the beginning? And how much attention do you actually pay to what you eat while breastfeeding?

Bath time!

How often do I bath my 6 nearly 7 week old?
I’ve been bathing her everyday for the past couple of days as she’s been really fussy and it relaxes her, but I’m not sure I’m bathing her too often.

Baby blues or depression?

I’m 2 days postpartum. Had a traumatic c section and am stuck in the hospital with preeclampsia now. I feel so sad and disconnected from everything. I’m trying so hard to push through but I feel like breaking down and crying. I’m in pain physically and emotionally. I feel disconnected from my babygirl and from myself. I don’t know what to do.
