Hair pulling

My 8 month old is obsessed with my hair at the minute. He's so fascinated by it and loved grabbing to put towards his mouth or even just play with in his hands, the issue is he ends up pulling it and boy do these babies have strong grip. I'm already going through crazy hair loss and him pulling my hair out is making it worse, any tips? :(((

My nearly 5 month old is the same with my hair.
I've had to start tying it up in a loose bun (as too tight doesn't help the hair loss).
And when my hair is down and he's grabbed it I've found applying a little bit of pressure/stroking the point where the palm meets the wrist and then bringing your finger upwards towards the centre of your palm causes the hand to release the hair.
And I just keep repeatedly doing this always saying "we don't pull mummy's hair". I'm hoping eventually the repetition will teach him to stop 😂

I tie mine up. Mine is a year old and she’s pulled it out her whole life. 🤷‍♀️

Stopping sterilising

My son is almost 5 months and has just started solid foods (I know it’s early but we were having problems with CMPA and trapped gas so it seemed like the best way to help him) I don’t sterilise his spoons, bowls and plates, they just get washed with hot soapy water. Can I stop sterilising his bottles too? Or should I be sterilising his plates and things? He goes swimming every week and ends up with pool water in his mouth and is constantly putting toys and his hands in his mouth it just seems pointless to me🤷🏻‍♀️ when did everyone else stop?

Honestly please

The days me and my baby girl (7m) stay inside for the day I keep her in her sleeper, I know there is nothing wrong with that but when it comes time for bed time, are we changing into new clean sleepers? Or no? After a couple of nights?

Also can I just say how much I love this app because i actually get friendly responses unlike fb groups and I’ve connected with a couple of moms already too

Colostrum harvesting..

I’m 37 weeks, and my midwife gave me syringes to start trying to get colostrum this week. I’ve tried a few times and out the one side I get nothing, and the other side one or two tiny beads. No where near enough to fill a syringe.

I’m completely new to this as didn’t know about it with my first. But does anyone have any tips or advice to get more? Or is it something that will become more - the more I do?

Thanks in advance ☺️

At my wits end

I’m honestly at my wits end trying to get my baby to sleep at night, it’s been 2 hours of trying this evening and she’s still not asleep. I’m so frustrated at my myself as I thought she was tired. I dunno what I’m doing wrong. I’m not getting any time to myself on a evening 😭😭😭

Im a first time mom and everytime my almost 2 week old cries its either because shes needing a diaper change or she wants my touch I havent slept in 48 hours because if this im at my wits end call me selfish but im just done when I have no help no partner and no family to speak of anyone else just tired of it? And yes if there are rude comments I can take it because maybe its a reality check

4 week old baby

Hi!
My 4 week old is currently going through a fase of being fussy when trying to get her to sleep unless it’s on me. Feeding 2/3oz every 2/3 hours fussing with her bottle, crying randomly. Has anyone else had similar issues and could share some advice.
Thank you !
