Big babies

Has anyone had their child referred to Paediatrics?

Baby boy is weighing 13.42kg, he is 1 in a few weeks. He has always been big and is a tall boy.
Paediatrics him as has jumped up the percentile chart.

Dr was rubbish, didn't ask any questions about what he eats, how much he eats, how mobile he is. (He has only just started taking a few wobbly steps this week)

Just trying to get an idea of what the next steps are

Baby was due August 8th but was born yesterday ( July 28th ) at 3:30 pm

The most amazing experience ever my water broke at 6am and baby girl was born at 3:30 the contractions were horrible yet not that bad at the same time I’m so in love with my baby girl I still can’t believe I’m a mommy now 🥹

Kit days

I’m just curious to see what everyone else has done. I’m due to go back to work on the 1st September, when the funded hours are available. But the closer I get to returning, the less I want to do my kit days. My job is stressful enough, and they’ve even tried to get me to work more kit days for this reason. I’ve spoken to people that started them, then didn’t do the rest because they realised they would rather spend time at home. Then others have said it’s helped them get a routine (as such).
So just curious to see what others have done/are doing 🙂

Birth debrief/reflection tomorrow

Got my birth debrief tomorrow with the mental health specialist midwife. I have a couple of ideas of what I want to discuss but to make sure I don’t miss anything/waste the opportunity:

What questions did you ask?
What questions did you wish you asked?

What was your elective section experience

I'm honestly terrified of going overdue! I don't want an induction or a c section! But 25% of inductions end in section so I would rather bypass all that pain...

Can you share your stories? How was baby and how was your recovery?

How fast did everyone dilate after 3cm?

This is my second baby and I’ve started experiencing a few contractions every 6-7 min so my home birth team came out to have a look and I’m only a three so they gave me another sweep last night , so I’m just wanting to know what other peoples experiences were.
And how fast or slow did anyone else go into proper active labour .

Nearly 6 months

Anyone else 6 months just absolutely miserable? I’m getting fed up with it not if I’m honest, nothing we do she’s happy with. It’s making life so hard especially during the summer holidays with older children!
